Log Cabin Getaway near Middlebury and Green Mtns
Located at the junction of the Green Mountains and the Champlain Valley, this quiet space sits on 70 forested acres. Enjoy nature in this free-standing secluded space and discover what Addison County has to offer from an easy to access location. The space Embracing all things Vermont, the cabin was built as a hunting camp by a logging firm that harvested timber here. We have built our home on the property and updated the cabin with plenty of amenities. The cabin is a nice balance of rustic, cozy, and comfortable, and we take pride in the beauty of this place. Guest access The 300+ square foot main floor of the cabin has a double bed, working kitchen, and full bathroom with a shower and hot water; the sleeping loft also has a double bed and a pull-down futon. Enjoy use of the lawn near the cabin, charcoal grill, fire pit and picnic table. There are dishes, pots and pans, a coffee maker and a microwave, a fridge, and a gas range. A cold climate heat pump provides heat in cool weather and AC in the warmer months, and an easy-to-use gas fireplace provides ambiance and backup heat on the extra-chilly nights. Other things to note Simple accommodations in a beautiful space make this a thoroughly enjoyable place to live and visit. We have decent cell service here, but there is no landline in the cabin. There is no TV, so you may want to bring a book or laptop or other device for entertainment if the forecast looks questionable. Playing cards and a few board games are available. The kitchen sink and shower have hot water, but the bathroom sink has cold water only. Vermont State Room and Meals tax will be collected at time of payment.
