The property was beautiful, was a large space to accommodate our group of 14, and was a quick drive to town. Owners were nothing short of amazing. They were both so welcoming and were great at communicating with us, plus they let us love on their sweet pups! We would definitely come back here! _____________ December 2019 - The hosts were phenomenal. Very polite and professional and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The area we stayed in was close to town but secluded enough to feel like you could get away. The accommodations were clean, dry and comfortable. I have absolutely no complaint about our stay. Additional snow plow fees are the guests responsibility. It is required that guests have 4 wheel drive SUV and chains. Reviews taken from Airbnb: Perfect for Multi-Family Stay, December 2017 — The Demigod Chateau with seven bedrooms and large dining and living room areas was perfect for our weekend winter gathering of four families--eleven people in total. The log beamed architecture is lovely, and the windows look out on the Cascade Mountains. (It's about a 10 minute drive to Leavenworth). The large chef's kitchen is well supplied with cooking implements, though a few basics (such as a spatula) escaped us. An outdoor hot tub would be nice, but there is an indoor Jacuzzi in the master bedroom. There are plenty of hooks for hanging wet gloves and ski hats. The amiable house manager Marco had started a log fire and greeted our friends when they were the first to arrive. I would definitely come back here again for a large group trip. ___________ From New York, NY · January 2017 ·We rang in the New Year at this beautiful home. Our crew spanned three generations, ages 10 years old to - 68 years old - and everyone found something to enjoy in the house and surroundings. The house itself is rustic, unique and lovely, with a huge kitchen great for preparing large meals, and working fireplaces throughout. The home is in close proximity to Leavenworth, grocery stores, and an easy drive to different skiing, sledding, hiking options. Steve and Anne were exceptionally communicative and helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again! ------------------- From Tacoma, WA · October 2017 -- Spent an amazing weekend at the Demigod Chateau with my husband and a group of friends. The house is incredible! Beautiful craftsmanship down to every detail. There is a beautiful view of from the balcony both during the day and at night. Plenty of space within the house as well. In addition to the house itself being great- we were a short drive (less than 10 minutes) into Leavenworth. The prime location definitely enhanced our experience. The home owners, Anne and Steve were great! Very hospitable! They were available at all times and provided helpful details about the house and the location. I definitely recommend others staying here. I hope to return soon. ______________ October 2017 - Great mountain getaway. Fast communication. More suitable for families with kids (vs groups of friends ). Make sure to check the weather and plan ahead for road conditions! ________________ October 2017 - The place has awesome location! When you leave the house you do not see any other people around, just nature. We stayed in lower apartment. It matches photos and description. Very warm. Do not expect new furniture or stylish design from the Condo, it is very modest in terms of look and feel. Will stay again - location is great. __________ From Seattle, WA · October 2016 -- Had a fun and wonderful weekend getaway staying at Steve & Anne's mountain cabin. The lodge was clean, warm, well stocked, and just a short 10-15 minute drive to downtown Leavenworth. Also loved spending some time talking to the hosts as they are a wealth of information in the subjects of education and entrepreneurship. Would definitely come back here again when visiting the area. ________ From Seattle, WA · October 2016 - The whole experience was great. The house is fantastic, and Steve was very attentive the whole time, always checking in to see how we were doing, and ready to intervene in case we needed help (we needed to get the road path plowed a couple of times). Overall we had a great time and will definitely come back again. WINTER CONDITIONS Winter Snow Plow: Please note that due to the estate nature of the property & its 4/10 mile private road, there is a snow plow fee for 1 standard plow during their stay. Additional snow plow fees are the guests responsibility. Snow Tires and Chains are Required. A Word About Cancelations Due to Winter Pass (HWY) Rare Closures: Highway 2 and 97 are both alternate routes to Leavenworth coming from Seattle. With snow covered roads and passes we advise that you be prepared with 4-wheel drive/good tread tires and chains. On the date of your arrival, should BOTH passes be closed due snow/avalanche/fire for over 8 hours preventing you from keeping your reservation, we will accept a postponement of your reservation. 50% of your total reservation including security deposits will be returned to you. You may reschedule at the earliest possible date, within 6 months of the pass closure, when your remaining 50% will be applied to your new rental. Otherwise, your room will be held for your arrival as guaranteed. For current road and pass conditions call (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) OR visit Washington State DOT. Don't feed the wildlife! We often see deer, elk and, occasionally moose. However, please be aware of "predatory wildlife" like the occasional black bear, snake, and cougar. Due to the location of the Chateau as part of the Cascade National Forest, it is possible that the occasional mouse or insect may find their way inside the house depending on the time of year. In an effort to prevent this, we take several precautions which include the use of different environmentally friendly devices. The property is owned by DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE, a federal 501(c)3 and Washington State non-profit, which fosters the next generation of innovators through its NASA award winning STEM+ARTS+MOVEMENT curriculum. Each summer 100 young adults, ages 9-17, train to be "demigods" with international faculty and young scholars. Demigods learn strategy, sword fighting techniques and martial arts for quests, art and creative writing for new works while studying innovation, science and game design. They play "quidditch" on the fields, capture the flag in the forests around the lodge, encounter "monsters" on the lodge trails or neighboring National Forest. For a fun break students/campers float along the banks of the Wenatchee River while visiting Leavenworth for ice cream and shopping. For more information: see CAMP DEMIGOD & DEMIGOD INSTITUTE on the web. Other things to note For your safety and ours, we ask that all guests bring their own bed pillows and bath towels. We totally understand this is an inconvenience. We have never operated this way, but the current situation requires it in order to provide maximum safety. Winter Snow Plow: Please note that due to the estate nature of the property & its 4/10 mile private road, there is a snow plow fee for 1 standard plow during their stay. Additional snow plow fees are the guests responsibility. Non smoking. There may be other guests in the apartment below the Lodge during your stay. Quiet hours are midnight - 8am. There are dogs and cats who live on the property.
