The Bear Room at Kiwassa Lake Adirondack B&B is a cozy yet expansive room with two queen beds, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and a fireplace. Due to COVID, our dining room is currently not serving breakfast. However, coffee is provided in the guest kitchen that you will have access to during your stay. This is an expansive guest suite with private bathroom, two queen beds, fireplace, hardwood floors, wireless Internet and vaulted ceilings. Kiwassa Lake B&B is an Adirondack Bed & Breakfast conveniently located three miles from the Village of Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. The property is nestled on twenty wooded acres at the end of a dead end road on the water's edge of Lake Kiwassa. The grounds are heavily wooded and offer peace and solitude for hiking and cross country skiing. The B&B has 3 other guest suites each with a private bath and wireless Internet access. There is a full guest kitchen located on the second floor for your convenience if you'd like to refrigerate drinks or store a snack. Due to COVID, our dining room is currently not serving breakfast. However, coffee is provided in the guest kitchen that you will have access to during your stay. Guests of the B&B have access to 23 miles of waterway through the Saranac Chain of Lakes. It is possible to boat from the lake to Oseetah Lake, down the Saranac River and end up in town on Lake Flower. Another option, we can take you and a canoe/kayak up to Middle Saranac Lake and you can paddle all the way back here, Kiwassa Lake! The grounds are heavily wooded and offer peace and solitude for hiking and cross country skiing. Guests will have direct waterfront access to Kiwassa Lake. In addition, guests will have access to a second floor private guest kitchen, boat rentals on-site, gourmet breakfast overlooking the lake. The guest kitchen can be used if you'd like to refrigerate drinks or store a snack. Guests eat breakfast downstairs in the waterfront dining room and breakfast is included in the price of the stay. Guests are able to rent canoes, kayaks and rowboats directly from the innkeeper There are a multitude of local events regardless of the time of year. Saranac Lake hosts multiple annual events with two popular ones being the Annual Can-Am Rugby Tournament in Saranac Lake in August and the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival in February. Lake Placid was the site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics and is currently the host of an annual Ironman competition. ATTRACTIONS Adirondack Museum- in Blue Mountain Lake, about an hour and a half from Saranac Lake, the Adirondack Museum has activities and exhibits for all ages. Whiteface Mountain & Chair Lift - Whiteface Mountain offers a ski mountain in the winter as well as a gondola ride in other seasons, as weather permits. On the other side of the mountain, you can also drive up to a castle at the summit on the Memorial Highway.
