Super clean 1 bedroom, 1 bath, plus den, above garage apartment in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley wine country. Centrally located between Santa Ynez, Solvang & Los Olivos in quiet, quaint Ballard. Kitchenette, dining nook, fireplace, and bath. Portable A/C unit in bedroom and window A/C unit in den. Private outside deck space. The space Lovely apartment above garage with private deck. The bnb is attached to our home (where we live) and has its own entrance. Amenities include a queen bed, small kitchenette, dining area, den with pull out queen sofa bed, living area sofa in front of fire, laundry, and full bathroom. The approx. 600 square foot apartment is located in a quiet and peaceful area, however, this is a neighborhood and you will get the occasional 8:00am leaf blower, Friday am trash pick up, the school bell, and chicken and donkey noises in the distance. We cannot accept reservations made on behalf of other people, and only registered guests should be on the premises. Sorry, we do not allow smoking, parties and/or pets. 1 free parking spot next to unit. Wifi and Direct TV. Note: Our BNB price includes a 14% Santa Barbara County Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and Air BNB guest and host service fees totaling 18.5%. Guest access Access to the apartment is provided via a private staircase and entrance. A personal, lock box key is available for guest's ease of access. Other things to note Walkable Ballard: From Garden Street, turn right to walk the Ballard flats, viewing our 1883 Ballard School…still in session. Loop back to Baseline, turn left and walk path at base of the hill past (or through) cemetery to Still Meadow. Walkers can enjoy views from both directions on Still Meadow Rd. The Ballard Inn on Baseline hosts the award winning Gathering Table restaurant and is a 5 minute walk. Scenic drives/hikes: Foxen Canyon Road, part of the Wine Trail, takes you to several vineyards and tasting rooms, turn onto Alisos Canyon Rd. to the cute town of Los Alamos with plenty of foodie options. (Bob’s Well Bread, Flatbread Pizza, PICO, Plenty on Bell, Charlie’s). Figueroa Mountain Road to just past Midland School, park after hair pin turn and hike Lover’s Loop. Trailhead and sign in book just across street. Road will continue up and over mountain to Happy Canyon Rd. (1.5 hour) back to the valley. Or, return the way you came, noting former Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch entrance with notes/graffiti along walls at gate, across from Midland. Alisal Road left through Solvang and backroad to Nojoqui Falls and then Hwy 101 South. Take exit for Gaviota Beach State Park just after rest stop. Pay to park or veer right up hill to park above beach for free. Trailhead to Gaviota Windcaves is at upper parking, or you can walk along same road towards (the) Hollister Ranch, or along the beach if low tide. Drive Ballard Canyon Road which runs from Buellton to Los Olivos. Great views, buffalos, and wineries. Los Olivos Crawl: Carhartt and Coquelicot tasting rooms among others, Lemonade Pop-up. Lunch at Panino’s (great picnic to go) and/or dinner at Sides, Los Olivos Café, or Bear and Star. Shopping at Avec Moi and J. Woeste. Santa Ynez Western town: SY Kitchen or Brother’s at the Red Barn are both excellent. Dos Carlitos for Mexican. Ellie’s Tap and Vine is a new, popular spot. Maverick Saloon night cap Uber readily available Breakfast: Paula’s in Solvang = Ellen’s in Buellton, both serve large, thin Danish pancakes with strawberries, whipped cream, and Danish sausage. Alisal River Grill next to golf course with beautiful patio views. The Longhorn in Santa Ynez for good food and western atmosphere.
