Next to the apartment there is a small shopping mall with a huge supermarket (Continente )where you can find fresh meat, fish and veg everyday. The mall features : - Chemist ( pharmacy) - Bank with cash machines - Hairdresser - Book shop -Several clothes stores - Restaurants/cafes Opposite to the apartment you can find a Lidl , Macdonalds and Aldi The river is a 10 minutes stroll , where you can find many cafes and traditional restaurants with splanades ( if you walk towards the river bridge just before go under it on your left side the is an arch entrance which leads you to a narrow street full of typical restaurants ) I can advise you if you allow me my favourite restaurant in Portimao which is a 5 minute drive from the apartment , towards Lidl/ Aldi way, the restaurant is called ( o cantinho alentejano ) their gastronomy is flavoursome and very well served at very reasonable prices.
