Description
This recently renovated home has wonderful light and is decorated with a mix of vintage and antique furniture and decor. There is plenty of art on the walls and a full stereo system is available for your use, connections for iPhones available as well. Located in a sleepy hamlet 20 minutes to Cooperstown this is a great location to relax and enjoy the beauty of Otsego County during your stay. Bobs country store nearly sells some grocery items and sandwiches….. Other things to note Like in all rural areas our water supply comes from a well, ours is especially deep and accesses water from an underground aquifer. Our water is mineral heavy and can sometimes have traces of sulfur. People came from far and wide in the 19th and 20th centuries to “take the waters” of the nearby sulfur springs in Sharon Springs which still stand today. If you think you would find this objectionable ours may not be the house for you. We do have filtered water located in the left side of the refrigerator when you open the door. When present the sulphur dissipates with boiling, our water is perfectly safe and usable for cooking.
