Sweet Suite!

Our typical guest has grandkids or children that live in our area, is in town for work or is traveling from just about anywhere in the world. Guests have said they like being close to SF at a very reasonable price. We're a family home so you can hear our family when we are in the kitchen. The Sweet Suite is behind our kitchen. Our kids have grown up doing Airbnb so they work to be as quiet as they can when guests are in the Sweet Suite. There is no doubt you will hear us at some point. The space This room was originally the master bedroom before the previous owner added on to the house. Our typical guest has grandkids or children that live in our area, is doing work at one of the East Bay companies on a short contract or is traveling from just about anywhere in the world and is looking to be close to SF at a very reasonable price. We're a family home so you can hear our family when we are in the kitchen. The Sweet Suite is behind our kitchen. Our kids have grown up doing Airbnb so they work to be as quiet as they can when guests are in the Sweet Suite. There is no doubt you will hear us at some point. LOCATION: Our home is nestled in a quaint town called Lafayette in the East Bay of San Francisco. We live right next to the Lafayette bike/walking trail which goes between Lafayette and Moraga and makes for a lovely stroll. Grocery Stores (Whole Foods, TraderJoes and Safeway), drugstore (CVS, Walgreens), coffee shops (local, Starbucks, Peets, etc.), boutiques and many lovely restaurants within 1.5 miles (3-5 minute drive). We are a very short drive to Orinda, Moraga and Walnut Creek for more shopping and restaurants - and on the same road as St. Mary's College (5 minutes). We are a 30 minute drive or train ride to San Francisco, and a 15 minute drive to Berkeley and Oakland. Lafayette Bart Station is 2 miles away (5 minutes). Road trips to various beautiful Northern California locations are also convenient - San Francisco (30 minutes), Napa & Sonoma (less than 1 hour), Marin, Santa Cruz (1.5 hours), Half Moon Bay (1.25 hours), Carmel & Monterey (2 hours), Yosemite (3-3.5 hours), Lake Tahoe (3.5 hrs away.) ROOM: The room is large with bay windows, a large, new shower and renovated bathroom. This room was the original master bedroom in the house before renovations and can comfortably sleep 2 people in the queen bed. It has a private entrance into the backyard. We will provide key to separate entrance for easy and private in/out access. In addition to the cozy Queen bed with wooden frame, we also have custom shelving, which houses a TV with cable as well as a host of books to read while in our home. Drawers are empty and available for your clothes, as well as a walk in closet with hangers. Wireless internet is also available. Extra treats: free parking, no cleaning fee. AVAILABILITY: If the room looks available on the Calendar on Airbnb, it's most likely available! Guest access Guests have their own private entry around the back of the house. Other things to note We have a small ish (30 LB) Golden Doodle who loves people that guests may see on occasion in the backyard. He likes to say hello but spends most of his time in the house.
