Welcome to beautiful, historic Gig Harbor! Shipwatch suite offers beautiful views from every window, private patio and back yard. You're surrounded by views of the Narrows Bridges, Puget Sound, Tacoma and breath taking Mt. Rainer! You have your own private, lower ground level suite with a separate entrance using a secure key pad. A very spacious 1,000 sq.ft. which includes 2 bedrooms that are at opposite sides of the suite, 1 bath, family room, dining area and separate kitchenette. This is a gated neighborhood with 6 other homes and condos near by. Easy access to everything Gig Harbor has to offer. You have an active view with the bridge, all sizes of boat traffic and an occasional train. A great place for a staycation, work from home alternative or just a change of scenery with relaxation. Tacoma is one mile across the bridge. Seattle is 40 miles away. Bremerton Ferry is 26 miles away that also goes to downtown Seattle. Please note there is a bridge toll when you cross going eastbound.(Tacoma) There is no toll going westbound to Gig Harbor. As you enter your suite there is the family/living area with a TV, fireplace, books and games. The dining table seats four, with a beautiful view of the bridges and water. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds that can be put together to create a king size bed if requested. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the suite. Both bedrooms have views of the bridges and water. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, large electric skillet, toaster, blender, sink, cabinets filled with dishes and many essential items needed for your stay. There is not a stove/oven unit. There is one full bathroom with a walk in shower. Hairdryer(2), curling iron, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bar soap and body wash are provided. The outside patio area has a table with 4 chairs and an additional two Adirondack chairs to gaze at the bridge and water views. You will have your own parking space which is located on the right side of the driveway with the sign Guest parking. In case of a second car, please park along the block wall near the driveway. There are 12 stairs that lead you to your suite on your left as you pull into your parking space. Enter into the lower half of the home with a key pad code that will be given to you prior to check in. You will have the entire guest suite and lower yard area and patio to yourselves. The upper half of the home is occupied by owner. I will be available to answer any questions you may have, suggestions of activities to do in either Gig Harbor or Tacoma and directions to local stores and restaurants. We have a great public beach access-Narrows View Park. It is only a few minute drive from your suite. Many local restaurants, coffee shops and uptown and downtown shopping. There are several grocery stores a few minutes away, Fred Meyer, Safeway and Harbor Greens. Costo and Target are 10 minutes away. During the summer we have a great Trolley/bus system that will take you from uptown to downtown. There are airport shuttles, Lyft, Uber and Gig Harbor taxis. Cushman Trail is great for walking, riding your bike or a good run. Lined by trees on most of the trail. 6 miles roundtrip. There are two Ferry routes to Seattle, out of Bremerton, an hour ride to downtown Seattle and out of Port Orchard to Vashon Island and West Seattle, a 30 minute ride. Shipwatch suite continues to be sparkling clean with extra care to disinfect for your stay. Please note in house rules I do not accept pets. Unfortunately this includes service dogs.
