15km from the village of Stanford in the Overberg and a short distance from the Salmonsdam Nature Reserve at the junction of the back road leading to Gansbaai/Elim and Sandies Glen, you will find Willowdale Farm. Situated 3km from Beloftebos Wedding Venue, Willowdale Farm is a working sheep farm with a small indigenous tree nursery. The space Free-standing, renovated labourer's cottage with two bedrooms with queen-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms (shower, basin and toilet). Fully equipped Kitchen as well as covered patio with braai facilities. Guest access Activities available on the farm include: • Fishing in the dam (plenty of Mozambican Tilapia and carp) – please bring your own fishing rods • Swimming is permitted in the dam – please bring your own swimming towels • Mountain biking, walking and running trails – please ensure that all gates are closed behind you as the dorper sheep are renowned escape artists! • Bird watching • Oom Tat se Winkel – pub and restaurant open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Also available as a venue for hire Other things to note There is an abundance of birds including Fish Eagles, various raptors, owls, ducks, etc as well as tortoises, small buck and plenty of reptiles. The elusive nocturnal visitors include Cape Leopard, lynxes, honey badgers and porcupine.
