Kalkan is a tourist town in the Kaş district of the province of Antalya in southern Turkey. It is located about 27 km west of Kaş on the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. Kalkan is the only place between Fethiye and Antalya, next to Kaş, where fishing is still carried out on a larger scale. Close to Kalkan are the historical sites of Xanthos, Letoon and Patara.
