Our 8 acres is surrounded on two sides by the Tumacacori National Park and just 3 miles from The Tubac art colony. We have a small farm on the property with chickens, ducks, geese, goats, mini horse and donkey. We also are woodworkers and create our special pieces here. You are welcome to tour our studio when we are present. The space The Casita is located on Santa Gertrudis Lane in Tumacacori. The location is absolutely perfect for those who enjoy nature, hiking, birdwatching, gallery hopping, horseback riding and experiencing the historic West. This area of Southern Arizona is just teeming with history. Our property was the location of a stage coach stop between Nogales and Tucson. The Tumacacori Mission borders two sides of our 8 acre property giving our visitors a peaceful retreat and opportunities to easily explore the mission, the De Anza Trail, Santa Cruz River and Tubac. Tubac is a pleasant 3 mile hike or bike ride away. Tubac is known as the place where "Art and History Meet" There you will be able to visit over 80 galleries, restaurants and stores. Tubac also has a state park and museum where you can explore more of the history of the area. We have bicycles available for our guests and we do allow pets, not to exceed two. Guest access Our casitas are fully equipped with a full kitchen, livinig area, and full bath. We provide organic free range eggs from our chickens, coffee, half and half and fresh fruit. If our goats are giving milk our guests are welcome to have some. We have a shared coin operated laundry on the property as well as a seasonal pool. Other things to note There are many outdoor spaces to lounge and our seasonal pool is 44 feet long with a 2000 square foot cabana, restroom and pool house.We have gas grills available , picnic tables, as well as gas fire pits.
