Ubud Homestay with Pool & AC - Room #6

Room #6 is on the upper floor, reachable by a staircase only. A small shared kitchen serves the four upper rooms. Each room has a small private balcony overlooking the pool and garden. The space Can use garage to park bike (not car), pool, kitchen, outdoor spaces and yard. **While there is on-site motorbike parking, there is no car parking.** In Bali, whole extended families live together in small compounds. Their day starts early, usually before dawn, with a mandi, or cold water wash, before cooking all the food for the day. You may hear the ibu’s (or Mums) in the family heading out to the early-morning market on a motorcycle. You'll also hear the dawn chorus of roosters crowing as the village wakes to another day around you. *** If you're sensitive to noise, you may wish to use earplugs.*** Living in a Balinese compound, while generally quiet during the day, involves the noise of families living together. On occasion, people may play radios or you may hear kids practicing flute or gamalan. Be prepared to hear the noise of people and animals around you - remember, you're a guest in their family compound. As the space is open, sometimes geckos and small lizards will come in, as well as the neighborhood cats. You may also see tropical cockroaches, which are larger than the ones in the West. This is normal in Bali and it's impossible to keep all the animal life out. The geckos are harmless. Please be aware that insects, including mosquitos, will get into the rooms and will be present in the outside areas. if you are sensitive to mosquito bites, we can provide coils to burn. However, if you are very sensitive to mosquito bites, it's your responsibility to wear repellent at all times, especially sunrise and sunset when mosquitos are most active. We CANNOT stop insects from getting into the rooms. Guest access There are several local shops and a morning market within a few minutes walk of the flat. There is a good choice of cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance within the village, including Indonesian, Italian, Indian and Japanese cuisines. The Guest Book also contains a selection of menus from Ubud restaurants for easy home delivery. A maid will come in three times a week to clean (unless there is a local holiday). Sheets and towels are changed weekly. Please ask if you want them changed more often. There is a laundry just outside our gate if you need to get clothes cleaned. The kitchen and dining areas, the pool and the garden and back yard are all shared. There is a shared undercover parking for motor bikes. Other things to note **While there is on-site motorbike parking, there is no car parking.** ** The neighbours next door have started some construction during the day, so please be aware there may be noise from next door ** We're unable to host children under 12 years old due to safety and noise concerns.
