DESIGNER'S KITCHEN Our large designer's kitchen is a very special feature at Haigha House, surrounded by the tropical greenery, it has gorgeous oversized islands (now revamped with a brand new luxurious marble top). It’s also equipped with professional oven, coffee machine, and all the kitchen tools you need for a homecook extraordinaire to cook to their heart’s content. If you don’t feel like cooking, don’t worry about that either as we have our “rockstar” Balinese Cook, Ibu Sri, able to cater for lunch and dinner with special, authentic traditional Balinese food in a rijstaffel (rice table) set up. Simply inquire us about her service, and we’ll have it arranged for you. JUNGLE POOL Our picturesque infinity pool is one of our guests' favorite features of the villa. Framed by the rice terraces and the jungle, it’s the perfect spot for leisure swimming, sunbasking, or lounging. Our large wooden deck is also a great space for you to do your daily yoga and meditation, with nature as your backdrop. The lounge area offers an oversized, comfortable sofa paired with a curated selection of books for quiet moments during your stay. There’s also a private home-spa space equipped with a professional massage table and access to an on-call therapist. Every corner is thoughtfully designed to help you fully relax, recharge, and unwind at your own pace. The first bedroom has a super king bed (2x2m) with a dramatic jungle and rice field floor-to-ceiling view. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, a study, and a jungle view. Both bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioners and share a long wooden deck overlooking the infinity pool. A shower room and a toilet are available by the two bedrooms. UBUD'S TRANQUIL SIDE If you're looking to avoid Ubud's overcrowded, noisy, buses-infested, and touristy downtown, then this place is just right. Situated just 5 km south of the well-known Monkey Forest Sanctuary in central Ubud, the villa rests in a peaceful village far from the crowds. Surrounded by rice fields, a small river, coconut palms, and views of three volcanoes, you’ll be fully immersed in nature. The soundtrack here is crickets, tiny frogs, birds—and occasionally the village dogs. On clear nights, the poolside deck becomes a beautiful spot for stargazing, with fireflies sometimes making a gentle appearance. The third bedroom that's made available is the Villa's master bedroom and the most exclusive one. It features a large en-suite bathroom with a vintage copper bathtub and a sunset-facing balcony. Breakfast Box is also included if you book through the Airbnb Plus listing. PARKING & CAR ACCESS We have a car access to the villa, and your car can directly park at the villa's premise. However, the road is quite narrow, so it's recommended that our staff to be there during your arrival time so they could help you with your parking. BREAKFAST Breakfast options are available. AIR CONDITIONING Please note that while all the bedrooms in the villa are equipped with air conditioning units, the main areas, such as the living room, dining room, and kitchen, are designed with an open-plan, expansive layout and high ceilings. Due to the architectural design, these areas are not air-conditioned; instead, we have plenty of fans strategically placed in different spots. We also provide extra fans upon request to ensure a pleasant and enjoyable stay. RICE FIELDS CHANGE COLOURS Our loft is surrounded by rice field, and framed by the river and jungle. We're also tucked and hidden in a small Balinese village, away from the tourist quarters of Ubud. Here's a few important things that you will need to know about the area: The rice paddy is alive and breathing. It goes through different cycles where the landscape around you will change colours depending on the season. At the early stage of its cycle, the landscape will be filled of muddy earth and you will see farmers ploughing the fields, often hemmed by dozens of white herons flying around. Once all the land has been ploughed, paddy is planted, and water is streamed to the field. This is when the loft will look like it's surrounded by body of water. Then the paddy starts to grow, and with its growth, come different colours. At the early stage of its growth, you will see bright green, then as it matures, the landscape will turn to golden, and then eventually dark brown. The whole cycle usually lasts 3-4 months. So when you're staying at our loft, the view that you will see from your suite will change depending on the season. - SMOKE & FIRE Following the harvest, the farmers clear the fields to prepare them for a new cycle. This is when the straws were burnt, and the smoke rises. The burning usually lasts for 2-3 hours and depending on where the wind may blow, this might cause inconvenience for the dwellers of our loft. This is however, a part of the reality in living so close to the nature, and we have prepared a blower in our loft in the case of our guests would like to use it to keep the smoke away. - INSECTS AND THEIR ALLIES Living so close to the nature, we do have living creatures crisscrossing our paths every once so often. In the dawn you will see hundreds of dragonflies, but at night you might also encounter some geckos. You will also hear crickets (or see different types of insects), and sometimes fireflies are also spotted around. There's not a lot of mosquito here, but it's always good to keep mozzy repellent handy, you never know!
