While it's ideally set up for individuals or couples, the cottage also has a quaint, 1/2 sized children's room with a single loft bed or a floor mattress. The space Relax & enjoy Fantail Cottage - the perfect private setting after a day exploring all that the Taupo area has to offer – mountain biking, fishing, tramping, lake cruises, bungy jumping, sky diving, golf, hot pools and all the restaurants, bars and shops you need! The cottage has ample secure space inside the laundry/bathroom to store your valuables when you're not using them (EG. bikes, golf clubs, luggage etc). You will find a functional kitchen with tea, coffee, fridge/freezer, microwave and induction cook-top with basic cooking provisions if you prefer self-catering. Alternatively, I am close by, and only too happy to answer any queries, recommend cafes and restaurants, or give local information should you want it. Nearby amenities include two convenience shops, a local pub, cafe, Brantry (one of Taupo's top restaurants) and a petrol station. You are very close to the CBD (1.5km) and to Lake Taupo with all its tourist attractions for your convenience. Please be aware that the small loft bedroom is a unique design and may not be suitable for your child, especially if they sleep-walk or get out of bed in the night. If you choose to use the loft bed, it is at your own discretion and risk. Guest access Access is by a lockbox. It is a separate dwelling with it's own access and off-street parking in a safe neighbourhood. There are 2 steps down into the bathroom/laundry and a step up into the shower. Other things to note The second bedroom is suitable for children only as there is not enough head-space for an adult to sit up on the loft bed. There is a single mattress available to put in the lounge for a taller/older child or one adult. Please check if you are unclear, before booking for more than 2 guests. Please be aware use of the loft bed is at guests' own risk & responsibility the small loft bedroom is a unique design and may not be suitable for your child, especially if they sleep-walk or get out of bed in the night.
