* Modern 80 square metre apartment * Private balcony with city views * Free parking for one vehicle * 5 minute walk to Courtenay Place, 7 minutes to Cuba Street or Te Papa, 8 minutes to the waterfront * Spacious open plan living area * Fully equipped kitchen with cooking basics * Complimentary teas/coffee/hot chocolate, cereal and UHT milk * Unlimited Fibre Broadband * 55inch UHD TV with Netflix * Note that the building layout is unusual and is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility The space * My place is a stone's throw from the city and all it has to offer, you'll find it fairly quiet and peaceful inside with little street noise, as well as light and spacious. It means a lot to me to be a great host and I always strive for it to be spotless and inviting! * Access to the apartment is convoluted as there are several corridors and doors to go through, for this reason the instructions must be used the first time. The apartment is approximately 100 metres from the lifts or car park and on the way there are 4 small sets of stairs with 2 fairly heavy fire rated doors. I don't recommend it for those with limited mobility, a lot of luggage or a buggy. * It is not completely soundproof and you will sometimes hear sounds from the people living around, eg. footsteps above, water flowing through pipes, etc. Most people are not bothered by these noises but if you are a light sleeper I recommend you bring earplugs. * Out of respect for my neighbours the property is fitted with noise sensors. If the noise gets unreasonably high for a residential setting the sensors will be triggered and will send a message asking that it be turned down. Note that Airbnb prohibits disruptive parties and events and breaking this rule can result in removal or suspension from Airbnb. Guest access * The parking building uses number plate recognition, you will need to give me your license plate number so I can add it to the system. Getting to the parking space requires driving up 9 levels and is in its own private and gated area at the top. Height clearance is 2.0m. The apartment is one level up from the parking space. * As mentioned there are 4 small sets of stairs to get to the apartment, (2 sets down, 2 sets up, the biggest has 6 steps). There is also a tricky corner which requires holding a door open while going up one of the sets of stairs. * I've taken care to make the instructions clear and thorough so you can get there as easily as possible. Other things to note * When there's a strong northerly wind it can get quite blustery on the balcony and it's best to keep the sliding door closed. * The sofa bed is a double and it is a firm bed. It will be made up if requested, or if more than 4 people are staying. * The two single beds can be combined to be a super king, just let me know and I'll make it up that way for you. * I do hope you'll choose my place as I would love to have you stay!
