An urban oasis with access to LA's greatest attractions. Near 10/405 freeways. Close to the beach, SMC, UCLA, Getty Museum, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills. Walk to Bus/Metro stations and amazing Sawtelle Japantown food. Driveway parking. Private yard with covered patio, pond and full size BBQ. Top notch A/C system, big screen TV and fully equipped kitchen inside. Not an apartment or duplex, this is your private California Bungalow style house. Security cameras cover the front porch and driveway. The space This house is in a a little microclimate that has lower than average temperatures for West LA. We enjoy gentle breezes breezes most of the time. The shady area by the pond is nice and bright with morning sun, but in the afternoon it gives cool shade, especially with that big ceiling fan above. Modern Central HVAC system that is on a full maintenance schedule, with fresh air filters year around. There are two private bedrooms with queen size beds and a lovely bathroom with the original tile work. All our floors are hardwood. We have decorated the home with art and objects from Hordur's birthplace, Iceland. The back patio features original mosaic tile art on the table, commemorating "Grumpy" the turtle that inhabited the pond for the first few years we lived here. This home offers easy access to the 10 and the 405 freeways. Outside in the yard, you will hear some freeway sounds, but inside you will not hear them at all. The neighborhood is always bustling, but inside is a quiet, cozy space. Guest access You have the entire house and the entire back yard to yourself. No shared walls. No shared yard space. Our gardener comes by every Tuesday morning to clean up the yard and take out the trash. On Wednesday nights, we put the trash bins back in. We pick up mail and packages from the front porch every day. Every 8 weeks, a meter reader comes through the driveway gate and check the electrical panel on the back of the house. Beyond this, your privacy is complete. Other things to note NO PARTIES. We adhere to the Airbnb rules. No third party bookings, which means that a verified Airbnb account holder must stay overnight in the house for the entire duration. Payment is only accepted via the Airbnb website. No smoking/vaping inside the house or in the breezeway outside the kitchen. There are ashtrays on the tables outside in the back yard. We offer a BBQ for your enjoyment. Due to fire hazard, it is NOT to be moved anywhere. Registration Details HSR19-000893
