THE AREA Voted The Times top South Coast seaside spot, Southbourne is a year-round gem. Southbourne Is a relaxed but still bustling upmarket suburb just East of Bournemouth, 5 minutes' drive to Christchurch and 15 minutes from the New Forest. Southbourne's primary attraction is its sandy Blue Flag beach, which provides a quiet retreat along the coast from bustling Bournemouth, while Hengistbury Head offers walks out to Mudeford sandbank exploring protected heath, wooded footpaths, seashore and harbour. Southbourne is an amazing place to both live and holiday, quieter than neighbouring Bournemouth yet sharing the same expanse of sandy beach and offering its own high street ‘ Southbourne Grove’ with an array of independent shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. As Southbourne has so much to offer you may feel you don’t need to go into Bournemouth itself but if you do there is a regular 24hr bus service that goes to Bournemouth ( and Christchurch in the other direction) with the bus stop being just a 2 minute walk away. Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve, with stunning views over Christchurch harbour, Mudeford and Isle of Wight is just a 5min drive along the coast road. Bournemouth’s stunning coastline is full of action all year round as it hosts fantastic events and festivals. For many the highlight is the annual Bournemouth Air Festival, the biggest event of its kind in the world. Offering four days of fantastic flying displays, evening entertainment, shopping and much more – this FREE event is perfect for all ages and tastes. Explore beyond Bournemouth and discover beautiful countryside and picturesque villages steeped in history and just waiting to be discovered. Whether you venture north, east or west of Bournemouth, you’ll be sure to find something to delight you. Dorset and the surrounding area offers natural beauty providing some of the most stunning scenery in the country. Home to rolling hills, rugged coastline, lush forest and of course, mile after mile of fantastic golden sandy beaches. The county is easily accessible and is tailor made for exploring by car, foot or bike. Poole is home to the second largest natural harbour in the world. The historic Quay area offers many types of boat trips along this magnificent stretch of coastline. Don’t forget to hop over to Brownsea Island, a wonderful nature reserve owned by the National Trust. Other National Trust locations include Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacey and Studland Bay with its views of Old Harry Rocks. The ancient New Forest, created as the hunting ground of William the Conqueror, is ideal for the cyclist, walker or horse rider. Ponies, donkeys and cattle all roam freely through the Forest’s picturesque villages, like Burley and Brockenhurst. Paultons Park with its Peppa Pig world, a favourite with young families is within approx 30 minute drive. From Hengistbury Reach, stroll to golden sandy beaches, river, friendly pubs, great independent restaurants, cafés & shops. Guest access Private use of property, garden & Jacuzzi hot tub Other things to note The hot tub is emptied, thoroughly cleaned and refilled between every booking. Where same day checkin/outs are concerned this does mean that, when air temperature is particularly low in winter months that the hot tub may not be fully heated until the morning after arrival. We have double heaters on our hot tub ensuring water is heated up as fast as possible. If using the hot tub in the evening or early morning please keep noise to a minimum in respect for our neighbours. No parties, stags or hens permitted. No additional guests permitted to access the property without our express permission prior to stay. Hot tub checks are conducted regularly by us to ensure compliance with all regulations are adhered to. Whilst we will do everything possible to ensure the hot tub is fully functioning throughout the duration of your stay this cannot be guaranteed where there are circumstances outside of our control ie power failure, and is not grounds for a cancellation or refund. We may on occasion offer up to £20 per night as compensation should the hot tub be out of action through no fault of your own. The property will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised ahead of your arrival. We have been awarded the Visit England kite mark and take the safety of our guests and ourselves seriously. Keys are accessed from the key safe for which we will provide all the details you need ahead of arrival to enable smooth self check in. A Christmas tree is put up for December stays
