Incredible view of Lake Michigan from every room. Public beach across the street. No other place like this. Spectacular sunrises. Spacious living room and dining room, smart TV, kitchen and half bath on first floor. Three bedrooms and full bath on second floor. Pinball machine and music collection in basement. Bike paths, quaint downtown, restaurants within blocks. Easy drive to Lambeau Field, Whistling Straights, and Door County. Awaken to the sound of surf and gulls. Relax at Beach Haven. Four bikes, beach chairs and umbrella, kites, fishing poles, a grill, a fire pit, and patio table and chairs kept in the garage for your use. It is a great location for walking and biking -- a mile of beach in front of the house. The 1000-mile Ice Age Hiking Trail, 7-mile Mariner's Trail bike path and 7-mile Rawley's Point bike path all within a couple blocks, plus quaint downtown Two Rivers just five blocks away. All within an easy walk: two band shells, historic fishing village with fish market, coffee shop, restaurants, bars, department store and a park with volleyball, tennis, outdoor grills and picnic tables. Information in the house will direct you to these many options, including bike and kayak rentals, charter fishing, and a great yoga studio. The views from the house are amazing, and the lake never looks the same two days in a row. When you arrive at Beach Haven your thoughts will melt away. Whether you come to relax on the beach, read, bike, hike, search for driftwood or watch the fishing boats come and go, you will leave with memories of your stay on America's Inland Sea. Read our reviews. Our guests love to come back. Guests have the run of the entire house, including the downstairs game room which includes a working 1970s pinball machine and poker table, plus a music room with a vintage turntable/cassette/eight-track stereo, bean bag chairs, lava lamp, black light and vintage posters. The living room has a working stone fireplace and flatscreen smart television. The outdoor space includes a patio with table and chairs, and a yard so close to the beach I can hit it with a stone. I will be helpful but not intrusive. It is very simple to get in and out of Beach Haven. Neshotah Beach is the showpiece, one of the top-rated beaches in Wisconsin. It is directly across the street from the house and stretches one mile from the pier to the end of the park. The section in front of the house is rarely used, virtually a private beach for you and yours. Within walking distance is a concession stand, band stand, and beach volley ball. The park attached to the beach has tennis courts, a softball diamond, horseshoe pits, a playground, picnic tables and grills, and plenty of shade trees. Across the street from the park is Walsh Field, home to the Polar Bears baseball team and the annual Fourth of July concert and fireworks. To the right, the beach will take you to the North End Pier where you can walk to the end to get a better look at the pelicans, fishing boats and the occasional 1000-foot freighter. The pier is also a good fishing spot. Next to the pier is the US Coast Guard Station, and adjacent to it is a delightful little park along the East Twin River. The 3000-acre Point Beach State Forest and its 6 miles of virgin shoreline and many hiking trails is just a mile away. The 1500-acre Woodland Dunes Nature Preserve is two miles away. Several restaurants and bars are within ten blocks, and a modern supermarket is five blocks away. Charter fishing tours, shipwreck scuba diving, kayak and bike rentals, and exotic kites are all available in town. Six miles away is the town of Manitowoc with more restaurants, a Maritime Museum and authentic WWII submarine, movie theaters and shopping. Rain, shine or snow, there is always plenty to do. Local residents measure their walks by the number of bridges they cross, from a one-bridge to a four-bridge walk, criss-crossing the two rivers that give the town its name. The town itself is beautiful, and nature trails abound in Point Beach State Forest, Woodland Dunes Nature Preserve, and the 7-mile Mariner's Trail along Lake Michigan to the town of Manitowoc. Interstate-43 is easy to get to, with Milwaukee and Chicago to the south, and Green Bay to the north. Country roads pass by picturesque old wooden barns, farming villages and quaint country churches of America's Dairyland. Lock the door by pressing the “Schlage” logo on the keypad. Your code will get you in — easy-peasy.
