Gold House-a traditional modern ricefield house

This house is a very traditional balinese style design, it got a bit of sprkle and glam mixed with what is otherwise a very authentic bali house. Please book this if you are looking for a taste of what bali used to be, rustic origional and comletely open air. yes you will see geckos and wasps and the breeze from the ricefields this is not a fancy house just a very authentic one. The space The Gold House The Gold House is a standalone home set in a traditional Balinese neighborhood, tucked among the rice fields and reached by a short path from our main lodge. Downstairs, there is a sealed bedroom with air conditioning. Upstairs, the master suite is fully open to the rice-field views and natural breeze, which we find more than enough to stay cool. The house also includes a small living room, an outdoor kitchen, and two bathrooms — one for each bedroom. We are not a traditional hotel, and this home is intentionally rustic and nature-forward. Please read the following carefully and do not book if any of these would bother you, as we’re unable to offer refunds based on these characteristics later: 1. Much of the house is open-air, and the ceiling is left exposed as a deliberate rustic design choice. 2. The house is located in a traditional Balinese neighborhood. You may hear roosters, neighbors playing music, and other everyday sounds of local life. 3. Access is via a rustic walking path through the rice fields, approximately a 10-minute walk. 4. The stairs are fully open and do not have a railing, so please consider this carefully if traveling with children. 5. We are relaxed, simple, and unfussy — this is not a polished or luxury-focused stay. 6. We’re surrounded by lush, jungle-like nature. You may encounter insects, lizards, mosquitoes, or other wildlife. Paper wasps occasionally try to build small nests in the roof; they are harmless and part of living closely with nature. 7. Tropical life is warm. The upstairs suite does not have air conditioning — only natural airflow. We find it breezy and comfortable, but we also live here. If this sounds like your kind of stay, we think you’ll feel very at home here. If not, we completely Guest access This house is not accessable by car so you have to be willing to walk or bike to get here. The main lodge is down the path an you are welcome to user the pool spa and restaurant there Other things to note This is a traditional Balinese neighborhood. What does that mean for you? You need to walk on a farmers rice field path to get here. Your neighbors have roosters, cats and dogs and like to have the occasional party and there are some rustic details. Other things to note is the stairs are completely open so if you are afraid of heights or feel off balance or have kids you don’t want to supervise this might not be a good fit for you. Also this is an open air house which is common in bali. This mean nature gets in, please don’t tell us you saw a tiny wasp making a nest on the ceiling or that a gecko pooped on the floor. This is the jungle and these things are indeed normal here. :) if you complain about animals getting in we will not refund you. book only if you want to experience rustic old bali.
