Description

Guldmagerens Hus is located in the new end of Nyhavn and it is named after the alchemist and coppersmith Henrik Ehm who tried to create gold in the 1700’s. This apartment is for the people who expect luxury, fast travel, quality, and a great atmosphere! The space Copenhagen prides itself on having well preserved authentic apartments, and my apartment is one of those. Built-in the 1600s, my apartment allows guests to experience the beauty of authentic danish architecture. I’ve allowed myself to go ‘all-in’ in terms of interior design - choosing only the best of luxury furniture. Guest access The apartment is comprised of 3 bedrooms, each equipped with a double bed. I understand that having a really clear understanding of the home's configuration is a critical aspect of planning a trip as a group. The apartment contains a large dining table, lighting, curtains, and all the essential amenities listed on the profile, such as a fully equipped kitchen, coffee machine, iron, hotel linen, smart TV with Netflix, and more. I am very happy to clarify any questions you might have to help with your planning. Please find a detailed overview of the home's configuration below. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask, I am here to help however I can. Bedroom 1: 1 double bed Bedroom 2: 1 double bed Bedroom 3: 1 double bed 1 bathroom with toilet & shower. Other things to note Our apartment is located in a beautiful, protected historic building right in the heart of Nyhavn. With this comes true charm—quirky layouts, unexpected angles, and design solutions that reflect its age and preservation rules rather than modern standards. Part of the experience is embracing these unusual features and the sense of history they bring. Because the building is under heritage protection, certain elements remain just as they were decades ago: • Rooms and layouts may be unconventional, with shapes, sizes, and placements that differ from typical modern apartments. • Windows are original—delicate and must be handled with care. They provide character but less sound insulation than new ones. • Hallways and stairs can be narrow or steep, and step heights may vary. • The area is vibrant, especially in summer, with tourists and restaurants nearby. This is part of the lively Nyhavn atmosphere, so it may not suit those seeking a quiet retreat. Please note: this is a rental apartment, not a personal home or hotel. While we provide basic essentials for your arrival, you’ll need to be self-sufficient afterward. Shower products are not included. There are 3 bedrooms with double beds in each room. The apartment is 250 m². If you value authenticity over perfection and want to immerse yourself in Copenhagen’s historic heart, this apartment offers a truly unique stay.
