NOTE: I am house-sitting a little kitty until December. Also Robert, has been vaccinated against Covid 19!! Guests must have at least one Airbnb Review to reserve. The Tyler House is 300 years old and has 3 rooms for 1 or 2 guests per room. 2 of the rooms are very large with a sitting area and face the street, 1 room is in the back of the house and features a bathtub. Note that in the colder months it can be a bit drafty. Old House. But i have heaters, heat and lots of fire places! The space When you come to The John Tyler House, you'll be transported back to 1710! A perfect example of an American Colonial, the house offers three rooms for 2 guests per room. two of the rooms are very large with a sitting area and face the street, one room is in the back of the house. During the cooler months, of course we have heat and space heaters, but keep in mind it is a 300 yo house that can be cooler in places. The house has comfy sitting rooms with tons of books and fireplaces and old Colonial kitchens with hanging pots and a farm table to eat on or catch up on some work. I am a weaver, spinner and textile craftsman. My studio is a part of the large dining room. You can see the process up close and even participate if you want! It's a perfect place to relax and get away from the city!! Guest access Most of the house is open to everyone. During your stay We live in the house so we'll be available 24/7 for whatever you may need. Other things to note Branford is a small, cozy New England town with a full on green, small quaint shops and great restaurants - all within walking distance to the house. We're also 10 minutes from New Haven where you can enjoy Yale University and all of its museums, libraries and history. New Haven is a big little city with dozens of great restaurants and fun things to do!
