Regent Regent sleeps up to 16 people. It’s perfect for the countryside but with the convenience of being in the village near pubs, shops and restaurants. The house has lots of room to spread out with kids games room, pool room and TV room each with Sky. The kitchen is well equipped with a large range cooker, American fridge freezer, sitting area and breakfast bar. The dining table seats 16. In the garden is a BBQ and seating The space Regent Retreat is one of the largest holiday homes in the area. There are 5 separate socialising areas so that people can spread out across the whole house, or they can come together at the dining table that seats up to 16. In the cellar are 3 rooms all with underfloor heating. The kids’ games room has two TVs (one with sky) for gamin’ or chillin’ and various board games. The TV room has a 65” TV with Sky, soundbar and a music system. The pool room also has a TV with Sky and a dart board for that authentic pub/den feel. The bedrooms are comfortable spacious and flexible (why go home more tired than when you arrived?). There are 8 bedrooms. Two rooms have kingsize beds. The other 6 rooms have superkings which can be split into two singles as needed, good for the kids if they’re sharing. 5 rooms are ensuite with the other 3 rooms sharing two bathrooms. One bathroom has a whirlpool bath for a long soak in peace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large range cooker, American fridge-freezer (with ice maker), microwave, wine cooler and dishwasher. Outside is flagged with Indian stone with garden furniture and a BBQ. We also provide: A bath and hand towel for each guest (but please bring a towel for make up etc, as we’ll charge for replacements if necessary). Tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, foil, cling film, bin bags etc. Guest access Guests have the whole property to themselves. Other things to note Please have a read of the following: Regent Retreat is in a residential area and our ongoing relations with our neighbours are important to us, so it is only suitable for older groups, family groups of 2/3 generations or groups of professional workers during the week. It’s not suitable for long drinking sessions with or without portable speakers, so if you’re looking to just hang around the garden during your stay then it’s unlikely to be the right place for your group unfortunately. We ask that guests are mindful of our neighbours when out in the garden and that everyone comes inside by 10pm. We cater for groups with pet allergies so do not bring dogs regardless of whether they are ‘small’ ‘well behaved’ or will ‘just sit on their beds all day’. We will ask dogs to take their owners home immediately and no refunds will be given to dogs or their hoomans. Our charge of £100 per person will be applied if there are more than 16 in your group. It’s a big charge which is quite deliberate so that groups stick to a maximum of 16 bodies crossing the threshold. We don’t charge a cleaning fee as we expect to hoover and wipe etc between guests as part of the price paid. However we expect guests to treat the place like their own house (ie with some pride and respect). To that end we don’t expect to spend time scrubbing things clean eg sick off mattresses or trying to remove indelible marks (eg food or make-up) from bedding, towels, carpets etc in which case we will make a claim for a reasonable amount from the deposit. Please consider bringing an old towel for make-up removal and slippers so you can leave dirty boots etc by the front door. If you want to charge your car overnight that’s no problem, but we’ll charge £25 for each charge as a contribution. Due to noise issues, the hot tub has been removed from the listing and is no longer available unfortunately, although it may still be mentioned in previous reviews.
