Cosy Flat in the Heart of Alfama
Description
I am renting my 1-bedroom apartment in the heart of Alfama. It has a mix of modern & traditional features, like Portuguese tiles. It was fully renovated in 2019, is well equipped, and sleeps 4 (the living room has a sofa bed). I strongly support Airbnb's anti-discrimination efforts and have of course agreed to their Community Commitment to treat everyone, regardless of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation with respect without bias. The space The flat is a good size for the area (25 square metres), with light coming from windows in both sides of the building (the whole building has been fully painted in 2021). It has one bedroom, a living a room, a good sized and well equiped kitchen, and a bathroom. Alfama is an amazing neighbourhood, historical, traditional and bustling, the best place in Lisbon, which is in itself an amazing city. Please note Alfama is a neighbourhood that is thousands of years old, and so are the houses, although I renovated my entire house in 2019. Also Lisbon being a maritime city it can be humid inside my house. Guest access The flat is in the heart of Alfama, near restaurants and fado clubs, located in a traditional Alfama street. There are pastelarias/cafés/restaurants nearby. Unfortunately Alfama is difficult to access for people with physical disabilities, due to the steep slopes and many steps, and the streets/alleyways around the house are cobblestones with pedestrian access only. If you are carrying large suitcases access is also a bit difficult. Other things to note Check out is at 10am and check in is at 14h. However, please confirm arrival times to ensure the flat is ready for your arrival. Please note that Alfama, like all of Portugal, has festivities in June for the saints' days.
