Planoles Pyrenees unique mountain house

Our house, an hour and a half by car from Barcelona. In the foothills of the Pyrenees. Sleeps 10. Our house is located in the quiet village of Planoles, province of Girona, between Ribes de Freser and the ski resorts of La Molina and La Masella (30 mins). And on a direct train line from Barcelona Sants and Barcelona Plaza Catalunya. The house was designed and built by the Catalan architect Josep Maria Saura for his own family in 1974. And it is extremely well preserved, in all its glory. The space On the ground floor there is the living room with a fireplace and floor to ceiling windows that allow you to enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains, as well as letting in plenty of natural light. The roof of this living / dining room is about 6 metres high, with two subtly differentiated levels, living room/dining room. On the same floor, up 3 steps there is a small loo and a large eat in kitchen. A corridor leads to 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms, one of them (at the end of the corridor) is an en suite. The rooms are of generous size and all of them with windows that overlook the garden and the mountains, so they receive a beautiful natural light. Up some stairs in the main hallway of the house there is an "intermediate" floor with a 2nd smaller living room of about 20 m2 with another circular fireplace and nice views. On the upper floor there is also a very large 2nd bedroom with ensuite. Much of the house is the original design and installation with modernisations made in keeping with the design where necessary. The house has a garage. On floor -1 there is a room of about 30 m2 where the washing machine is located. On the same floor -1 there is a small wine cellar of about 10 m2. The house also has a garden, with about 100 m2 of lawn and a barbecue area. Perfect for walking, biking, trail running and disconnecting (and skiing in season). And the views are quite simply breathtaking.
