The property is a duplex side-by-side consisting of the the main house on two levels and the separate guest apartment on one level. French doors open onto the large wrap around deck overlooking the secluded wooden backyard. A great place to gather, relax and enjoy nature surrounded by foliage, flowers and the beautiful sky. During the summer you'll likely see World War I airplanes slowly flying over from the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome a few miles away. About 12 blocks from the Village Center we are on a national historic road surrounded by farmland and woods. Enjoy the multitude of furry friends you'll spy in the backyard along with the faint late afternoon sounds of goats and sheep from neighboring farms. At night enjoy the breathtaking array of stars in the beautiful night sky. Old Post Road is a designated bike trail excellent for walking and biking. Explore the trails along the beautiful Hudson River originally family estates of the Astors, Vanderbilts, Livingstons and Roosevelts. Situated along the beautiful Hudson River Rhinebeck is also a popular destination wedding area. With the Catskill Mountains framing the East and the Berkshires framing the West it's hard to find a more picturesque area so loaded with history and charm yet within a short drive from NYC, Boston and Phili.
