Step into the beautiful serenity of Borie Negre. This completely renovated farmhouse is nestled among the fields and trees of rural France, yet is only a few minutes away from the iconic and picturesque village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. Wander the ancient streets, shop at the famous Sunday market and then head back to a fabulous lunch and a swim in the pool, overlooking the pretty valley below. The home has a large eat-in kitchen with a glass-front wood-burning stove, a separate dining room, a large living room, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Outside, there is a patio with a large table for dining while enjoying the views. The pool area is big and beautiful, sitting next to the colorful garden. Depending on the season, feel free to pick fruit from the trees—especially plums and walnuts. Our co-host Wendy will meet you on the first or second day of your stay, and she is available to answer your questions should the need arise. Wendy is fluent in French, English and Dutch. Beautiful St. Antonin Noble-Val is so picturesque that it was chosen for the film Hundred Foot Journey with Helen Mirren. It boasts the oldest municipal building in France. The cobbled streets meander around and then down to the river and the pretty bridge. SIt for awhile at Les Halles for a coffee or an Aperol Spritz, or dine at one of several excellent restaurants. Nearby, there are countless medieval villages and castle ruins to explore, and the long country walks are spectacular.
