We offer beautiful outdoor spaces at the farm which include a pine grove, a lovely pond, with a family of turtles that line up to sunbathe on the log, our in-ground pool is a perfect way to watch the blue sky and clouds float by, a stream and waterfall just beyond the pool to sit and relax to the sound of the babbling brook, a very old cemetery with wrought iron fence and beautiful stone wall. Their are cross country ski trails 10 mins from the farm and downhill is a short drive at Suicide six, Killington, Okemo and Pico. Great restaurants range from The Windsor Station which is a train station that is now a very cool restaurant and of course The Skunk Hollow Tavern just around the corner. Woodstock and Quechee Gorge area are a half hour drive and both great places to spend time, offering lovely shops and local artisans work. The Vermont Raptor center is located in Quechee, they rehab injured raptors and are open to the public. Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site is just over the Conn. river via the longest covered bridge in Vermont Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center are an easy commute via the highway. This is a working alpaca farm, we have babies from time to time during the summer and fall. Shearing is usually scheduled for the 3rd week in May and we welcome extra hands if your interested. We are happy to give you a personal introduction to the alpacas while you are staying at the farm. Some of our alpacas like to be hand fed treats, Aslan in particular loves apples. We also have loving rescue animals, Ralph our dog and cats that live in the house. We welcome traveling nurses, families, couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers and are looking forward to meeting you. We offer a special discount for longer stays.
