A perfect base from which to explore the beautiful Southern Highlands. The space Set in the peaceful village of Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands, 90 mins drive from Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra, this beautiful property offers a unique break from the everyday. A few minutes' stroll to cafes, restaurants and the famous Bundanoon pub, plus opposite the luxurious new Osborn House hotel, where visitors can enjoy day spas and gym facilities or book for either of their two outstanding dining rooms. This property is conveniently located but is both peaceful and private. Venture further afield to the wonders of Glow Worm Glen, to the spectacular scenic views of the Shoalhaven River or to the magic of Fairy Bower Falls in nearby Morton National Park. The charming townships of Exeter, Robertson, Berrima and Bowral, as well as the famous Highlands' wineries are all a short drive away. The accommodation features cork floors, cathedral ceiling with cupola, locally-crafted stained glass window and views across the charming leafy country garden featuring sandstone rockery and flow-form water fountain. Enter into the central space of the yurt where the double bed, lounge chairs and television are located. There is a small library of books available and reverse-cycle air-conditioning allows for toasty warm winters and a cool oasis on hot summer days after a bushwalk. The en-suite bathroom features a large luxurious shower, toilet, vanity and laundry sinks ( please note: personal items such as shampoo or conditioner are not supplied) . Separate eat-in kitchen features fridge, microwave, electric cook-top and basic condiments. The back door opens out to a large timber private deck to BBQ, read, feed the parrots or just relax. Off-street parking available and one child can also be accommodated. Guest access Arrival and departure times are flexible and Rexeen will make every effort to accommodate your itinerary. The yurt is fully self-contained and guests are encouraged to enjoy the deck and country garden. Ask to inspect the Studio Yurt where you may find the perfect gift to take home, or an everlasting memento of your visit to the Highlands. Other things to note Bundanoon lies at the entrance to Morton National Park. This means you are likely to see some beautiful local wildlife, including a multitude of birds such as king parrots and rosellas. Listen out for the lyrebirds and discover their hidden nests on walks around town and the National Park. Kangaroos and wallabies often visit the yurt in the early morning and at dusk.
