Other things to note The house is a typical farmhouse of the Gascony region situated independently in an elevated position with stunning views of the nearby Pyrenees. The kitchen, though compact, offers all essentials including a 900 wide cooker with 5 ring gas hob and large electric oven, double sink, fridge and dishwasher. There is a further covered washing area at the back of the house with another dishwasher, double bowl sink plus washing machine and exterior drying lines. Bathroom is situated on the ground floor with adjacent separate wc. The sitting/dining room seats 5 comfortably, with 8 for dining. The large adjacent open fronted barn accommodates 20 for dining. It offers 2 fridges plus freezers, large gas bbq and sofas for your comfort. Party lights and large “full moon” illuminated clock. Please note that access to bedrooms 3 and 4 on the first floor, is via a communal corridor from either bedrooms 1 or 2. Communal shower room is also located off this corridor. The house is conveniently situated for visiting many interesting and entertaining places including historic Toulouse to the North East and to the south the impressive Pyrenean Range. The pilgrimage centre of Lourdes is 45 minutes drive. The local town of Lannemezan has a children’s activity park and a Go Ape N’co Park. Prehistoric Caves at Gargas, Esparros and Betharram. Chateau de Mauvezin, Escaladieu and Valmirande nearby. Birds of Prey display at Donjon des Aigles and Parc Animalier at Argeles Gazost. The Petit Train d’Artouste south of Pau at Fabreges is worth a visit, being the highest train in Europe and taking you into the depths of the Pyrenees with a short walk if you wish to visit the high remote Lac d’ Artouste. The famous Cathedral of the Pyrenees of St Bertrand de Comminges south of Montrejeau. The Pic du Midi reached by cable car and the wonderful spa at Balnea with amongst other features, a 40 degree outdoor bathing pool.
