Within walking distance to the city, Central, Glebe, & Newtown in a buzzing, hip & friendly neighbourhood of cafes, shops, small bars and markets, the location can't be beaten. Fully renovated, the house is an amazing mix of luxury and old-world charm. The space “Like a luxury hotel” is the response from most guests here. If you love design and interiors you'll love this house! An epic renovation has lovingly brought this heritage beauty back to life, with no expense spared in creating a made-for-Airbnb space that exudes charm and character. From custom made marble and terrazzo floors, to gorgeous brass lights, original fireplaces and decorative ceilings, there is something of interest in every room. Private, secure and quiet, Sinjin is perfect for those studying or teaching at nearby universities (on the doorstep of both Sydney Uni and UTS) or those visiting our fair city and wanting a central but friendly neighbourhood base from which to explore the city. Note this is a luxury stay and isn't suited to backpackers or those looking for budget accommodation. Bookings of students (friends) sharing a room will not accepted (couples ok, LGBTI welcome). Features: - Large, warm and private room looking into an internal courtyard - Lockable room door for privacy - Stunning polished concrete floors with underfloor heating throughout - Comfortable soft queen mattress and hotel quality linen - Small but perfectly formed bathroom, with huge rainhead shower, brass fittings and high ceilings (bathroom is not an ensuite but you'll have sole access to it) - Huge emerald green kitchen, with french door fridge with chilled water, 5 burner induction cooktop, 4 ovens, dishwasher and integrated microwave - Breakfast (cereal), a range of teas, coffee machine and all essentials supplied - Toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc) - Double glazed windows in all new areas keeps the house beautifully quiet - No other guest rooms on this floor - Eco-sensitive build with top of the range, super efficient appliances - Washing machine and heat pump dryer available in concealed laundry Guest access The kitchen has tea and coffee and all cooking facilities, with a fully kitted out kitchen - though why would you cook with so many great restaurants nearby! You still have access to your bedroom, bathroom, the kitchen, dining and family room, and a gorgeous deck out the back. Please note the room is downstairs and may not be suitable if you have large and heavy luggage - you cannot drag bags down the timber stairs so you must be able to carry any luggage you have. During your stay I work during the day but am available if you have any problems or questions. In the evening I often watch TV in the separate lounge room or read in my room but love to have a chat and share a glass of wine on occasion with my guests. Other things to note I have just welcomed a tiny, well-behaved mini schnoodle to my home. He is still learning but is happy to welcome you to my home. He has his own room downstairs so you will only interact if you want to.
