The space Possumbrook Cottage is situated in Castle Forbes Bay in the Huon Valley It is located in a rural setting on a small acreage with a babbling brook which can be heard from the cottage which has very comfortable king size bed with a single in the same room also a comfortable Queen bed and a single room also. All linen supplied a full kitchen with generous breakfast provisions . Comfort is the main objective ,There is a Lazy boy lounge to enjoy a DVD or the log fire or just sit on one of the decks and enjoy the fresh country air .Fresh eggs are supplied by the resident chooks and theres Woopie and Patches the Dorpa sheep to chat to over the fence all this just 5 minutes to Port Huon and Geeveston and. Short drive to the Hatrz Mt bush walks and Air Walk and 5 minutes to Franklin either the wooden boat centre and Franks Cider House This is the prettiest part of Tasmania without a doubt and a cosy log fire can be enjoyed on a cool night in this comfy cottage also electric heating in all rooms if required Guest access You can sit by the brook ,meet and greet the chooks and Woopie Patches the Dorpa sheep and You may spot a possum or two also Bandicoots and small wallaby ,I have had many sightings of platypus and water rats in the brook.I also hand feed the eels which have been returning each summer and leave in autumn . The wild life is abundant with Kurrawongs ,black cockatoos and kookaburras often drop by to feed and the blue wrens and robins and honeyeaters are quite visible in the colder months . Other things to note There is abundant wild life with Paddymelons which are small wallabies also black cockatoos many small birds and bandicoots just to name a few also striped bandicoots and of course Possums and often a platypus or 2 at night if they are feeding in the brook Registration Details 7097394
