We are 45 minutes from casinos and over an hour from Chicago, 15 minutes from the beach/ trails and train, and 5 minutes from downtown Valparaiso! A cozy stay for a traveler, family visiting Valparaiso University or anyone looking to get away from the city. OVER 4 guests $30.00 fee for each guest. As a guest, you and your family will enjoy the comforts of home with 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, one bathroom, a kitchen table and four chairs, a desk and chair, and a sectional. One bed has a pillow top; the other bed has a memory foam mattress. There are fans, alarm clocks, radio, heating pad, extra pillows, two folding chairs for eating, blankets, electric fireplaces, comforters, heating blanket, luggage racks, pack and play (no top sheet just bottom sheet and blanket), baby gate, personal and bathroom amenities and more. There are a variety of board games, books, movies, toys, and magazines.We have 65 inches smart tv to watch Netflix, Disney, Hulu, Peacock, Prime video, Pluto, and more!. We provide bottle water, hot tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. Of course, we offer late night munchies while watching tv ! Breakfast (free) options may include one of following: granola or fruit bar, poptart biscuit cookie or oatmeal. There is a sitting area to relax and read a book or a magazine. If you don't finish your book, please take it home. A microwave, coffee maker, dishes, condiments, toaster, silverware, can / bottle opener, a variety of flavored creamers, salt/ pepper, coffee to go cups, sweeteners, and sugar are provided. Free WiFi is available. There is not a kitchen in the basement. However, if you need something to be heated in the oven, I would be happy to warm up your food. There is a carpeted staircase with a handrail leading down to the basement. You and your family enter through the front door. There is a charge for any person after 4 guests.Please read in the summary. As a guest, you have the whole basement to yourself. We share the front door access to the house. You and your family can walk on our property or sit outside on the seating area by the gas fireplace. Check-in during the week is from 4-11 pm. Weekends are from 4 pm - 12 am. Please let me know if you need to arrive later. Thank you. Check out time is 10 am. We will greet our guests at the main entrance/ front door to the home. You will have only front door access. If you need anything, you can text or call us. We would be happy to help with your luggage. My neighborhood consists of one of three houses on 21 acres. It is very quiet and peaceful. The sky at night is amazing. You may see deer or a red fox running in the fields. There are a variety of birds, rabbits, opossum, and chipmunks on the property ! You can get around by car, Uber drivers, rent bicycles downtown, or hop the train to Chicago.If you need a ride, if we are available, we would be happy to take you. I have a reference book of our favorite things to see, places to eat, and fun activities for the family! Enjoy ice skating, coffee shops, bowling, 49 Drive In, Indiana National Dunes, canoeing, outdoor concerts, plays, festivals, trails,shopping, casinos, markets, and much more!
