Pommereau: pure Loire valley magic!

Pommereau: a large lovely 12th century stone house in a verdant 12 acre private park next to a national forest. Just 90 minutes SW of Paris, Pommereau is near the Loire River, Chambord and other chateaux. The house has 5 bedrooms, including 3 with mezzanines. There is an additional sleeping apartment in the courtyard, a yurt, and a multi-purpose room (yoga, music, extra sleeping space, etc.) of 45 sq.m. Please note, there is room for 27 people in the main rooms. The space Greetings! Welcome to Pommereau, our lovely, fully-renovated 12th century Cistercian stone farm house and retreat/seminar center, in a 12-acre park and pond, surrounded on three sides by national forest, on a rise just 90 minutes southwest of Paris, France. The fourth side of the park faces northward onto a view of open fields stretching to the horizon. Over the past twenty years there have been many family holidays, gatherings, seminars... The two-story main house includes 5 fully-carpeted bedrooms upstairs, three of which have carpeted mezzanines offering additional sleeping space, and two full baths (with an additional WC on the ground level). The main floor includes a large living room with big stone fireplace, grand piano, original 12th century central oak beam, and traditional French "plâtre sablé"-finished walls (the walls themselves are stone). The floor is made of antique tiles (with through-the-floor heating). There is a separate studio apartment in the courtyard and a furnished yurt, and an extra multi-purpose room (yoga, chill room, extra beds..). There is plenty of parking, wifi, very clear skies with no light pollution, fresh air, and a national forest with paths accessible directly from the property. The Loire Valley and chateaux begin just 25 minutes to the south, in Beaugency. There is a town with a supermarket and shops 10 minutes away. Pommereau, 1 km outside the village of Autainville (postal code 41240), is located between the cities of Orléans to the east, Blois to the southwest, Vendôme to the west and Châteaudun to the North. All have cathedrals and castles. Guest access The space is entirely available-- the house, garden apt., yurt, park, carport, national forest... Other things to note Please note, the cost for lodging is 67 € per person per night. For large groups and/or longer stays, a discount is possible.
