The fishing on our lake is out of this world. Many locals know or have heard about the size of fish in this 30 acre tank and still talk about it to this day. Whether you are an avid fisherman or just a beginner, this honey hole is a great place to hook your catch of the day. More good news, you don't have to purchase a fishing license to fish on our lake. We offer all guests to use the new 85 ft. pier to fish from or the fishing boats. Guest access Our fishing cottage and lake are on 170 acres. The property has a view of another lake named Lake Palestine, which requires a fishing license to fish. We offer our guests the use of two small fishing boats, complete with battery and troll motor. Some our our guests prefer to fish from our new 85 ft. pier. We do not supply fishing poles, or tackle. Life vests are provided and must be worn on the lake. Other things to note We have friendly dogs and cats, chickens, and cows on the property, but none of these critters will affect your stay. We do have coyotes that come out at night, as we are out in the country, so you will most likely hear them howling. We are NOT allowing guests to bring pets at this time. Most of our guests catch fish. There are however certain conditions where the fish just aren’t biting. It’s always good to ask the local bait stores what bait to use. I will do my best to also recommend certain bait/tackle to use during the different seasons of the year.
