What’s included: -Airport pickup -Daily housekeeping -Entirely private two bedroom villa with private facilities such as pool, kitchen, gazebo and garden. The space This property is a rare gem, build in a traditional Balinese fashion. This historic masterpiece is the oldest villa of Penestanan village. It has been restored with great care while preserving all the Balinese aesthetic details. The villa has many handpicked decorative pieces, from fabrics to woodwork, stone statues to Balinese woven baskets all depicting the culturally-rich Bali life. The villa is spread out into many separate buildings allowing privacy: The "main house" has a large outdoor lounge space with hammock and daybed. There is an indoor living room for rainy days, and a stunning indoor-outdoor bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs is the treehouse-like master bedroom and living room with a 360 degree view on the jungle garden and the famous Campuhan Valley. The central building is where you will find a shabby chic kitchen and a dining area a few steps away. The quirky decorated second bedroom is located at the back and its bathroom is a throw stone away. There is a dining area under the bale next to the pool and a meditation bale at the back of the garden. Villa Manis is lucky to sit on a really large block of land, with a beautiful jungle garden. There are walking paths in three different directions and the sounds of running water from the rice fields. Within the garden walls, it is a very peaceful place. The villa is located in the most beautiful and convenient part of Penestanan. You won't even need a motorbike as everything is easily accessible by foot. Penestanan village has become hip, and has its own yoga studio, meditation centre and the best organic and raw restaurants and cafes in Ubud. Guest access The entire property is for your group's private use. This includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a shabby chic kitchen, dining room, an indoor living room, a large terrasse and a sensational billabong style pool. Other things to note -Please keep in mind that the villa is situated between jungle and rice fields. Those contain spiders, ants, geckos, lizards, noisy roosters, naughty monkeys, mice and the snakes that eat them. Being an old-fashion open-air house, there is no real distinction between the wild life outside and the inside of the villa. Thus do expect to have a few little creatures and big geckos as roommates. If this is likely to bother you, you should consider a resort where they choose to spray their entire grounds to remove all the insects. -There is no air conditioning in the villa, but evenings in Ubud are cool; therefore, it isn’t needed. There is a fan in front of the beds which keeps the room ventilated sufficiently. -To facilitate a hassle-free check-in and avoid guests getting lost while getting to the villa, we decided to offer the pickup free of charge from the airport or equal distance. In Kadek's car there is space for 4 people with regular size luggage or up to 6 people if you have very small luggage such as backpacks. The free pickup zone includes Denpasar airport, Sanur, Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta or equal distance from Ubud. Further pick up locations such as Uluwatu, Nusa Dua or up north Lovina, Amed, Pemuteran is also possible for an extra fee of about 10-15$ depending on the location. -This villa is not suitable for someone with mobility issues as it is up a steep set of stairs.
