Beautiful Stroud Cottage, B&B (Hawkwood, SCCO)

Comfortable double bedroom with private adjacent bathroom. Delicious continental breakfast with local produce, all included. Happy to provide supper, I love to cook local seasonal produce, price per head after menu agreed. Peaceful walled garden with beautiful views over Stroud, only a 15 minute walk from the house. Farm track down to the house is VERY bumpy, not good for low sports cars. Pick up from Stroud train station possible on request. We also have a friendly dog The space PLEASE NOTE - OUR LOFT SPACE IS LISTED SEPERATELY FOR LARGER GROUPS. (Two further bedrooms with a shared loft bathroom, sleeping up to 4 - the loft is full of character, but has restricted access with a steep narrow winding staircase, uneven floor and low beams in places.) We are very close to Hawkwood for anyone studying there, and are happy to drop off and pick you up. We have an open plan kitchen/sitting room with an inglenook fireplace, perfect to relax and chat. The town is within walking distance and there is a really pretty route through the park. Guest access The kitchen, sitting room and downstairs cloakroom. During your stay We are a friendly household and we enjoy meeting our guests. We are generally around and very happy to answer any questions and share our local knowledge. Other things to note The Saturday Farmers' Market is famous for delicious local produce. The Cotswold Way is all around us, so we are in the perfect location for walking. There are lots of wonderful pubs, serving delicious food, that can be enjoyed on the way! You can also walk, or hire bikes to cycle, along the Stroudwater canal. Gloucester Cathedral is 15 minute drive away and spectacular. Stroud has great entertainment venues, with bars and live music. The Subscription Rooms in George Street, in the heart of the town, will tell you what’s on locally, and there is also the SVA local artists space, another great cultural hub. Painswick is 10 minute drive away and very picturesque, definitely worth a visit. The Brunel Good Shed is another great music venue.
