This rustic cabin will take you away from the busyness of life. Included in your stay: studio style cabin, two full alcove beds, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, vhs compatible tv(movies can be borrowed from the communal rec room on the property), playground in the woods, grill and fire pit, access to Lake Michigan beachfront, and hiking trails. If you are hoping to enjoy the beauty of nature and the charm of St. Ignace and Mackinac, this is the perfect cabin for you. The cabin was built between 1920 and 1930 and was part of the property formerly known as the Balsams Resort. There are 2 full size alcove beds and a futon that can pull out into a full size bed. Expect 1 room with alcove beds attached to the room. There are 8 other cabins and a motel on the property. Guests will check themselves in with a lock box code that is provided after a reservation has been made. Guests will have access to free firewood, private Lake Michigan beachfront (across US 2), 40 acres of woods with trails, and a Rec Room at the front of the property with games, movies, books, etc. Guests can reach me via cell phone at (313) 598-9688. The cabin is a 6 mile drive from shuttles to Mackinac Island. Guests may also be interested in the Mystery Spot, a putt-putt course down the road, or a beautiful public beach 7 -10 miles further west. The cabin is located on The Balsams Resort property. It is nestled in the woods among 8 other cabins. We had one review mention that guests would be better off at a hotel. If you prefer being in a hotel then we highly recommend you stick to that over the cabin. We aren't a cheaper option than hotels, we just offer a different experience. If you want to be in the woods and enjoy something a little more quiet and rustic, then this will be a great spot for you. We want our guests to be happy with what they're getting and enjoy themselves as much as possible.
