As you approach Hovey’s Bear Trap, driving out of charming Manistique, MI, you find yourself surrounded by picturesque pine trees and can slowly feel all of the real world stress slip away. What lies ahead is the strikingly beautiful Indian Lake surrounded by the charming and rustic authentic log cabins waiting for your arrival. The Clevelander log cabin is one of Hovey’s Bear Trap’s 11 log cabins built in the 1920’s. All the cabins have been remodeled through the years retaining their old northwoods charm mixing in new furniture and amenities while retaining the cabins unique northwoods feel. Clevelander is a single story, two bedroom cabin featuring a spacious kitchen, bathroom and an enclosed sunny front porch. Hovey’s convenient location offers quick access to everything the area has to offer. In the winter enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing. In the summer, hiking, ATVing, golfing, swimming, beaching, fishing and kayaking/canoeing make for great entertainment. Our large parking lot has enough room to park your snowmobile, ATV and boat trailers. The boat launch is just down the street and our on-site dock is available for you to park your boat. Snowmobile trail access is less than one mile from Hovey’s. The cabin is yours to enjoy during your stay. There’s plenty of room here to do what you like. Make memories; do things your way. Most of our guests are repeat guests… Come and find out why! Other Things to Note: Clevelander shares the dock, sandy beach and fire pit areas with the rest of Hovey’s cabins. We supply all the linens and towels. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen stocked with fresh coffee beans, grinder and coffee pot. We supply firewood for the lakeside fire pit. A charcoal grill is available for use at each cabin, but you are responsible for the charcoal and lighter fluid. Other things to note OPEN YEAR ROUND!
