The Chamber @ The Deco House, Ahangama

The Deco House - also known as “The Pride of Ahangama” is quietly located guesthouse on outskirts of the small town of Ahangama. Everyday life passes by, and you automatically get a feeling of becoming a part of the Sri Lankan way of living. A walk from the house, takes you over the paddy, into the world of temples and untouched sceneries, and in less than 10 minutes, to the beautiful and picturesque beaches of the south. The Chamber is perfect for couples or solo travellers The space The Deco House is one of its kind. The villa was designed by a British architect in the late fifties, and was built by a local family. Today the villa has been gently renovated. Nothing much has been changed, but a few things have been added, just to provide the guests with the maximum comfort, as well as the demanded privacy. :-) This is the CHAMBER and we are going to straight up say that this is not the room for you if you need a lot of space. "Cosy" is the watchword here :) It is by far the smallest room at Deco House, but nevertheless, it has its own charm and fully covers your needs. There is a very comfy queen size bed, a spacious bathroom with shower area and furthermore an absolutely gorgeous private terrace with seating, overlooking the garden and the pool area . The Deco House can of course be rented as a full villa, but mainly the villa is rented by the room. Each and every unit has been tastefully furnished, to blend in with the time of the build. The aim was always to create an ambiance that will slow down your heartbeat, and give you the relaxing time that you came for. Guest access The Deco house provides each and every guest with the luxury of privacy and a private terrace. The property has been built on a huge piece of land, and therefore provides us with the extravaganza possibility of creating little hideaways around the garden. The pool area of course is a shared space, as well as the pavilion at the end of the pool, where breakfast is served. (Please pre-order breakfast with the onsite staff the night before. There is a priced menu on the blackboard in the pool area.) Watch the monkeys from the backyard area, enjoy a drink under the beautiful mango tree or stick your feet in the lovely fishpond - this is for everyone to enjoy.
