Other things to note CHERRY BLOSSOM SEASON 2026 Predictions for peak blooms: National Park Service: March 29 - April 1 Washington Post: April 3 - 7 NBC StormTeam4: March 30 - April 5 WUSA9: April 2 In 2025, peak bloom was in late-March, which is on the early side. For planning purposes, its important to note that each year the peak bloom is different, some years in late March and some years in mid-April. Peak bloom depends on the previous season's winter weather in DC. The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a month long, starting on approximately March 20 and running through approximately April 13. From a past season: "This year, if all goes as planned, more than 70 percent of the blossoms on the trees around the tidal basin will flower between March 21 and March 24. If it holds steady, these dates fall just within this year’s National Cherry Blossom Festival, which is scheduled for March 20 through April 13. It’s also earlier than the historical average, according to Cherry Blossom Watch. The average date for peak bloom between 2000-2010 fell right around April 1. In 2022, peak bloom happened on April 5. "NPS’s prediction could, of course, change (it usually does) depending on how cold or warm the weather gets as March goes on. Warmer weather will lead to a faster peak bloom, and colder weather could delay it." Please note: Rooms are more expensive during Cherry Blossom season and throughout the city, rooms get booked up quickly. MY GENERAL MISSION: It is my mission to have visitors fall in love with DC. I will do everything I can to help make your stay comfortable, fun, enriching and to fill you with such a long list of things to do that you have to come back for another (many) visits! Please note: There are steps required to access the flat; while a wheelchair cannot navigate inside the bathroom, the apartment itself has no internal stairs.
