The space The Gunbower Butter Factory was a functioning Butter Factory built in 1928. The Butter Factory has been restored to its former glory in some parts (the accommodation) and preserved in others to capture the ageing beauty of the lovely old building. The Gunbower Butter Factory is located on the banks of the Gunbower Creek with many native animals along the waterways; pelicans, platypus, ducks and turtles to name a few with the ever elusive Murray Cod enjoying the cool waters. Gunbower Creek is part of the Gunbower National park waterways system, the biggest inland waterways system in the Southern Hemisphere - affectionately referred to as the Kakadu of the South. The Gunbower Butter Factory accommodation is a private oasis, the perfect setting to enjoy a good book and a glass of wine, a stroll around the gardens and a cup of tea or a beer and a BBQ.
