Watch planes✈️ from hot tub by Bristol Airport 🥂

Looking for a romantic, chilled out getaway, in the North Somerset countryside, then look no further! We embrace the airport here and enjoy watching the planes come into land (and take off) at Bristol airport. The hot tub has pleasant views of countryside, animals, and a perfect place to view the planes. Get cosy in front of the log burner & watch a film in the 18th century cottage. We are a short walk from a pub and a beautiful 100 acre Common. You can walk to Bristol airport terminal in 25 min The space The cottage has a five seater hot tub with views of the adjoining countryside, for your own private use. (new one installed April 2025 ) You will see cows, ponies, a donkey and chickens graze. Have a glass of fizz and say ‘Cheers’ to the planes as they come into land (Or take off) , and why not star gaze. It’s also positioned to be in sunshine all day (when we have sunny days.) Your cottage is all ground floor and spacious. The bedroom has a very comfy SUPER KING size bed, large lounge, breakfast bar seating area, bathroom with power shower. A small galley basic kitchen area. (Microwave, small mini oven with two ring hob, fridge and toaster. ) You can use the log burner to help make yourself more at home, and snug. We have super fast broadband here and smart TV. Next to the hot tub, there is a picnic bench, sun bed and chairs to use in a private area of the paddock. There is a resident pony and donkey, who would enjoy a pat and hello. The hot tub is about 30 metres away from the cottage & has fencing / hedges to the side to ensure privacy, but does not block your view of adjoining fields and countryside views In between the planes it is very quiet, you may hear a cow mooing or the odd car or tractor in the distance. The cottage is located on a no through road, so very little noise from traffic. I have been hosting on Airbnb for over 7 years now. I put my heart and soul into making your stay as best as possible. This is reflected in my 5 star reviews which I am so very proud of and makes all the hard work worth while. For your interest the original part of the cottage was built in year 1800 and has been extended in recent years, you will be staying in part of this old cottage as well as some of the new area. The fire place still has the bread oven built into it Parking is secure behind electric gates ****Complimentary**** The use of robes and extra towels for the hot tub. (you just need to remember to bring some flip flops / sliders) Also complimentary Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, tea and coffee, fresh milk, free range eggs. Cereals, biscuits, brioche bun, or similar. Cooking oil, salt, pepper are all here for your use, and we are set up like a home from home. Provided is a complementary amount of firewood. Extra bags of kiln dried logs can be purchased at cost price. Off street parking (secure behind gates) for one car. I can sometimes accommodate two small cars, just ask Guest access Guests can use the front door to the house as their own private entrance. There is also a 2nd side door which is also a private entrance for your use. There is one small step as you go from the lounge to kitchen area Other things to note There is a cupboard full of adult / fun board games, in the unlikely event you get bored here. We are near the airport and can hear planes. Majority of planes fly between 0600 and 2330 but there are a few night flights. The summer time has a busier flight schedule. 85% of the time you can watch the planes come into land. 15% of the time you can watch them take off, and this is governed by wind direction. On rare occasions the direction changes a couple of times a day. The viewing is better when they land & the planes are a little noiser on take off. I will lay the log burner for you, with some complementary wood & fire lighting stick. If you would like more logs you can either bring your own or you can purchase a net of the very best kiln dried logs at cost price. This listing is for two adults only, I do not allow extra people to sleep on the sofas. Your part of the cottage is ultimately an annex which is attached to my cottage. (Locked inter connecting doors separate the two areas ) I unfortunately can’t accept anybody who is allergic to dogs, horses, or chickens. I have no facility to charge electric cars, and it is not even possible to do so with an extension lead This cottage isn't suitable for anyone who is a light sleeper / sensitive to noise .
