IMPORTANT NOTICE The Zimbali Resort Welcome Centre has a strict 48-hour turnaround to process all guest IDs and that way provide access to the resort. Bookings with less than 48-hour notice cannot be confirmed and guests won't be able to access Zimbali. Zimbali require an ID or passport or driver’s license copy for every guest. Zimbali does not allow arrival or drop-off inside the estate by Uber/Taxi and would recommend hiring a car. No day visitors are allowed into Zimbali Coastal Estate. The space This stunning Zimbali holiday rental is ultra modern in design with luxury finishes & good views. The self catering Zimbali home is beautifully furnished & very well equipped. The state of the art kitchen includes a full list of high quality appliances. The 3 bedrooms are furnished & finished to the same high standards, the 1 x king bed & 2 x double beds will provide luxurious comfort & quality sleep. – TV in the main bedroom and the lounge – Full DSTV – Outside patio area with a small garden and stunning views towards the ocean in the distance – All the bedrooms are upstairs with the main bedroom en-suite and the 2 other bedrooms sharing a bathroom – Fully equipped kitchen – The golf cart can be rented for an additional R400 per day There is a communal pool in the complex – not a private pool Guest access Valley of the Pools Bushbuck Pool Zimbali Fairmont restaurants and facilities (subject to peak periods) Please take special note of the below new arrival procedures implemented by ZEMA: ****NB Uber & Taxi: Unfortunately, Zimbali does not allow arrival or drop-off inside the estate by Uber/Taxi and would recommend hiring a car. All guests over 16 years of age must go into the Welcome Centre for fingerprints (biometrics requirements) to be taken Guests will then be directed to the WEST gate. Short term rental guests may only use the WEST Gate for entry into Zimbali. Once at WEST Gate – the security will again check all guests fingerprints and only then allow them access into the estate. Should 1 guest not have had their biometric checks done at the Welcome Centre, the security will deny them access and again send them all back to the Welcome Centre. Guests may use the North Gate to EXIT Zimbali only (no entry allowed) ** No visitors or additional guests allowed during your stay Biometrics Please note that the Estate has, for security reasons and the safety of its residents and visitors, implemented a requirement that ALL visitors must submit to the supply of biometrics (electronic fingerprinting and eye photo) upon arrival ( children under 15 years are excluded). All persons (also in a vehicle) entering the Estate will be checked in this regard. Subject to the gate transitioning phase Biometrics are done at the Welcome Centre and take about three minutes to complete, per person. Please take note of new Zimbali Check In Times: As of 01 December 2019, the operating hours of the ZEMA Welcome Centre will be as follows: Monday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday - 07h00 to 20h00 Friday and day prior to a Public Holiday - 07h00 to 21h00 Guests for Zimbali will not be able to check in if they arrive later than the above times. Other things to note Please note that we cannot accept bookings without 48 hours notice before check-in as Zimbali will not allow guests into the property without the necessary notice and thus your booking will be cancelled. Guests will be sent a ZEMA form which needs to be filled out with all guests full names and ID numbers (DOBs for children). This form needs to be sent back with copies of drivers licenses (for those driving), ID copies for all other adults and birth certificates for children We require ID copies of each guest at least 3 days prior to arrival in order to arrange entrance with ZEMA - there is a R250 ZEMA Fine if documents are submitted late Ensure that every guest carries an ID or driver’s license so that copies can be made at the gate PLEASE NOTE ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS WILL BE ALLOWED DURING YOUR STAY. ONLY REGISTERED GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED ONTO THE ESTATE. Keys will be presented to you upon arrival at the Welcome Centre against copies of ID or driver’s license of each member in your party. ZEMA only provide 2 (two) access cards per house/booking. Additional access cards will be charged @ R100 per access card. No more than 6 guests in a 3 bedroom unit. This includes children. If this rule is not adhered to, a fine will be issued and guests risk eviction by Zimbali Security. No parties, events – noise restrictions. No loud noise after 10pm Zimbali is not a swimming beach Guests are not allowed during your stay Please ensure when booking more than one house at Zimbali that no items are removed and utilized at another house. ** Monkeys are a serious problem in the estate - please ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked when you are not there
