The property is remotely located 1.25 miles down a windy gravel road where it’s peaceful and quiet. PLEASE NOTE: there are 2 Airbnb homes on the ranch: • Guest House • Bunk House • We also live on the property and the ranch is a working ranch. Please be aware of which house you have reserved & park in the designated location to not disrupt other guests. • We do not offer discounts as we have already reduced rates due to increase in tax/fees for Marin County. • The first driveway for 1 mile is an easement - please be courteous, drive slowly and pull to the side where safe in order for our neighbor's feed/work trucks to pass by. • On the ranch, there are cattle , free range chickens, horses, 2 friendly livestock guardian dogs + 2 house dogs. • If you have special lodging requirements, we are happy to do our best to accommodate your request ahead of time. • There is mobile reception with the exception of T-Mobile & WiFi is available. • The nearest grocery store & fuel station are a 20-25 min drive, so do plan ahead for in-house meals on your way to the ranch or enjoy the many wonderful local restaurants! • Water conservation is a must and we thank you for understanding the struggles of Mother Nature as our water comes from a natural spring. • With country living comes the critters, so please be mindful of closing doors and windows. Let’s keep these things outside where they belong so the next guests can enjoy the same. • There are no screens on the windows as the birds utilize them as nesting material (they do not last around here!) but we love the birds for eating the bugs! • Winter stays: a wood burning fireplace is the only heat source for the house - don’t worry, firewood, kindling, paper and lighters are provided & there is more if needed. The house will warm up within an hour of less of the fire going and we promise it gets cozy no matter how cold it may be beforehand! An oil heater is in the downstairs bedroom to keep that room cozy (keep doors closed to keep the heat in). • Summer stays: it can get quite warm upstairs, so please note the coolest room is downstairs. The home was built in the 1800's, so there are no open windows in the loft but there is a fan provided. • There are some occasions where the power will go out during the heat wave (PG&E for fire safety/prevention) or winter storms (when lines are down) - but rest assured, the water and cooking stove are powered by propane and we have plenty of lanterns and candles for lighting. We are much used to this and we promise it’s fun to get cozy and enjoy some peacefulness with ambiance and board games. If you need power for health reasons, we have a portable generator and are happy to set it up for you. We welcome guests from near and far to enjoy a unique and relaxing farm stay experience and make memories with the many things West Marin has to offer. Wonderful local restaurants, beaches, hiking trails and excursions all within a 15-30 minute drive!
