Description
# ABOUT "Matekitai" This rustic farm house is located on a spacious plot. It is the best base for touring the World Heritage site "Hiraizumi"! Just 20 minutes by car to the Hiraizumi Station! While getting a taste of local Japanese life and culture at our rustic abode, you can easily journey to World Heritage sites such as Chusonji and Motsuji The space # CONCEPT The name "Matekitai" is Japanese for "Want to do again", and the name for this remodeled farmhouse that opened in September, 2018. I love traveling abroad and experience the culture and food of distant lands. It is the feeling of "I want to do it again" that makes me want to invite more and more travelers to Iwate Prefecture to discover the charm of Ichinoseki and Iwate. # STAFF A cute newcomer to our staff joined us last November. A newborn goat named "Trevi". With cunning bangs, he is a very popular person with our guests. # LODGINGS The building is an old-fashioned private house siting on a large site. It is fully-equipped and you can enjoy the many charms of the countryside and get a truly local Japanese experience. The room you will stay is a Japanese-style tatami room. For large groups, it is possible to arrange the futons side by side and an entire family could stay! We are thrilled to host families and large groups in one large space. Other things to note # BATH The bath is available from 5PM - 12AM. We kindly ask that you bring your own towel and amenities. We can provide these for a small cost. # COOKING Free cooking utensil (frying pan, pot, dish, cup) Free cooking appliances (microwave oven, rice cooker, home bakery, coffee maker) Registration Details M030008192
