This is a classic Vermont SEASONAL ( June- Oct) early 1950s cabin or cottage that is right on the water facing the West. One side sits next to a dirt road that is pretty quiet. Some cars, farm machinery & four-wheelers do go by. However, you can sit facing the water and feel like you have left the rest of the world behind as you listen to the loons. This special kind of space is for those who like a touch of country, it is not a hotel, it is not a party place, but a lovely RUSTIC cottage/cabin. The space Our two story cabin/cottage which is tucked away in the wonderful area of West Glover, Vermont which is nearby the famous Parker Pie ( pizza-pub) , Hill Farmstead Brewery, and Jasper Hill ( cheese). There are three bedrooms, each with a double bed. One of these rooms is the main one facing the lake and is rather open. The other two are a smaller, but charming and cozy. There are lots of other lakes, bike paths , and hikes nearby. Even late Spring and early Fall can be quite cool, even cold in the off seasons, and thus the unheated porch can sometimes be too cold to use. The porch is not a heated space, but rest assured, the rest of the living space is very cozy! You can sit by the gas fire place with a good book, watch a movie, or play a game. We have several games, books, and puzzles for you to use. THE CABIN/COTTAGE IS ONLY AVAILABLE MID JUNE -EARLY OCTOBER. Guest access This cozy two story cottage/cabin has a bit of a rustic charm with most everything you need. It is not a hotel or a party hot spot. I like to repeat, it is not a hotel...It might have minor imperfections at times...like a cobweb tucked in a corner... It has three bedrooms upstairs. IT IS OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME WHICH WE SHARE WITH YOU WHEN WE ARE NOT USING IT. It faces the water and has chairs on the expansive lawn to sit in and enjoy the sunsets. There is a grill and a fire pit for you to enjoy. Inclement weather? No problem, you can play cards, do a puzzle, talk or just sit quietly and listen to the sounds of nature. It is usually available early spring, late summer and early fall. JUST AN FYI: THE STAIRS GOING UP TO THE BEDROOMS ARE QUITE NARROW AND THE ONE AND ONLY BATHROOM IS LOCATED DOWNSTAIRS. SO, MAYBE NOT CONDUCIVE IF YOU ARE ELDERLY OR HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES, AND IS NOT FOR THE VERY YOUNG. There are night lights and fans. There is a dock to sit on and a raft to swim out to (until Labor Day). Spring and Fall can be quite chilly. And the porch is not heated, so best to cozy up by the fireplace in the living room. We ask that you don't try to heat the airy porch when it is really cold. Our outer blue shed has some lawn games and everything you need to go in the kayaks.
