Cottage in Rice Lake
Description
The "Gatekeeper" cottage has a natural gas stone fireplace in the living room, Full size sofa sleeper, full kitchen, full bath on the main floor and a half bath in the sleeping loft. (Need to be able to climb ladder stairs to lofted bedroom). A spiral staircase leads you down to the lower level which has an additional bedroom, queen sofa sleeper in the extra living room space, and full bathroom. The lower level also has a walk out french door to the patio area. The space Tuscobia Lake gets rather weedy, but the lake is still navigable at a slower pace. When using the pontoon, the weeds may need to be cleaned off the motor from time to time, but the lake itself is quite peaceful and relaxing to be out on. It is about a quarter mile walk or drive to our dock area and we do have several lakeside campfire areas for relaxing while overlooking the lake. Apple maps is accurate for getting to Stonehaven Cottages, and if you need directions please call or text us. Our cottage is smoke free. If you smoke, you are welcome to smoke outside on our porch or anywhere outdoors where the smoke does not affect others. Fireworks of any type are strictly forbidden on the property. Guest access Guests have the whole cottage to themselves and can also use any of our hiking trails and campfire areas throughout the 40 acre property. We have complementary paddle boat, canoes, kayaks, and rowboats that can be used on Tuscobia Lake by any of our guests. We also have a pontoon for rent. Other things to note Regular pricing is $175 per night on weekends and $150 per night on weekdays. We have a pontoon available for rent at a rate of $25 per hour, $75 for half day, $125 per day, $500 for the week. Saturday nights the noise from the Rice Lake Speedway can be heard if the wind is from the south. The speedway is about a mile away and the level of noise varies based on the wind direction.
