Spacious but cozy renovated apartment in downtown, in the historical center. Stay right in the middle of the World Heritage neighborhood Baixa Pombalina, in a 200 years old building, in a typical local home. Experience living with examples of traditional ceramic tiles, and the wood beams part of the world's first anti-earthquake system, the Pombaline Cage. The space Living room with lots of sunlight, and a long balcony with a view of the city, from the nearby Figueira Square to the Tagus river down the road. One bedroom with big size bed (160cm wide, 63"), a large living room with sofa-bed (wide enough for 2), baby crib available upon request. Fully equipped open kitchen available, and TV with Netflix. All rooms are for the exclusive use of the guests. Guest access Many of the city's landmarks and historical neighborhoods are reachable by foot from the apartment, as well as many typical restaurants. Tram, metro, and train to other locations are just a couple of minutes away. Other things to note Please note that this is an old building in a historical area, so there is no elevator. It's a 4th floor, need to walk up. Not convenient if you travel with heavy luggage or baby stroller. Please take this in consideration when booking. There is very little public parking on the street, and all is reserved for neighborhood residents, so bringing car isn't advisable. There are some public underground car parks a few minutes away, but with very high prices. We are not a management company. We are a small team, the owner and his two brothers, renting only one apartment. This apartment is registered with the government, follows local laws, and pays the due taxes.
