Description
Billabong is a spacious, open plan apartment on the ground floor of Chalet Jungfrau. Set on 2 levels, it has stunning mountain views from the balcony and the lower private backyard. With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fireplace & modern furnishings, it's the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Alps - whether it be skiing, hiking or just enjoying the view. Less than 5 mins walk from the Terminal train station and Cable cars, it offers easy access from Interlaken and direct access to the slopes. The space The apartment is suitable for extended families or groups. Children are welcome and upon request we can provide a baby cot and high chair. Entry is at ground level making it easily accessible. It has natural stone floors with floor heating, along with WiFi on both levels. Ground Floor (entry level) The open plan living, dining and kitchen areas include a wood-burning fireplace. Double french doors lead out to the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hotplate, dishwasher, microwave, capsule coffee and drip coffee makers, toaster, fondue and raclette set. Basic condiments are provided. The master bedroom has a king box-spring bed and ample wardrobe space. The bathroom has a shower and WC. Lower Floor (access to backyard) The lower floor has 3 bedrooms: one bedroom with a queen bed, one room with twin beds, and a smaller bunk room ideal for children (no window in room). Two bedrooms have double doors leading directly to the backyard with views of the Eiger. The downstairs bathroom has a shower, WC and bath. The laundry has a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes rack, iron and ironing board for your private use. Outside There is a gas Weber BBQ, and outside dining table and chairs, so that you can entertain outside while enjoying the uninterrupted view of the famous Eiger North face and surrounding mountains. Guest access The entire apartment is at your disposal, including private use of the backyard and 2 parking places (one under cover). Guests also have access to a separate ski room alongside the apartment to store skis. Boots can be stored downstairs. Other things to note Rental includes parking for 2 cars (one under cover), linen, towels, heating, ski storage, WiFi and cleaning. There is a local tourism tax of CHF 5.20 per adult per night/ CHF 4.20 per 12-16 year old per night. Children under 12 are free. Every visitor to Grindelwald is required to pay this visitors’ tax. The tax is used by the Grindelwald council for investments and improvements in tourist infrastructure, such as transportation, information services, etc. In return you receive various discounts on activities in the region. This is not included in the rental rate and is required to be paid to our property manager in cash.
