Seaglass Cottage is a charming, characterful, fully refurbished 250 year old fisherman’s cottage situated in the heart of the Downalong area of St Ives. Within level walking distance of many of St Ives attractions, including Porthmeor surfing beach which is less than a one minute stroll around the corner. The Tate Gallery which can be seen from the cottage is a short walk away. For those wishing to explore further afield the adjacent Coastal Path provides for stunning walks in both directions. Directly opposite the famous St Ives School of Painting located in the newly re-generated Porthmeor Studios. Guest access Guests have access to all areas of the cottage, including a small outside space to dry wet suits and store beach equipment Other things to note Access to the cottage is via a keysafe, the code to which will be provided once the booking is confirmed. The cottage has a steep short set of wooden stairs (typical of the type found in fisherman's cottages) to the bedrooms so it may not be suitable for the elderly, or infirm and care should be take with very young children. There is an adjustable stair gate stored in one of the wardrobes that can be set at the top of the stairs, or on the bedroom entrance if required. What we provide: Bed linen for all beds. (Please specify what bed configuration you will require in the second bedroom, king or 2 singles) Bath towels & hand towels for 6 guests. Tea towels, oven cloth and a bath mat for the bathroom. 2x toilet rolls per bathroom. Hand soap, washing up liquid, anti bacterial spray, bleach. (Please note we do not provide shampoo, conditioner or shower gel due to personal preference and/or allergies) Dish cloth, sponge, dishwasher tablets. (Please note we do not provide washing detergent/pods due to personal preference and/or allergies) Oil, salt, pepper, pint of milk, tea bags, coffee sticks and sugar sticks. The TV is a Smart TV so apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer, ITVX etc are available, you would just need to log into your accounts. Please note we do not have an aerial connection for FreeView channels. The cottage is however located just a few minutes walk from The Island or Barnoon car parks, these can be busy in the summer so we do also have a few off site parking spaces (20 minute walk away) which we can book out alongside a reservation at Seaglass Cottage for an additional fee. They also offer a shuttle bus service to and from Porthmeor beach.
